I’ve been around guns my entire life, plenty of family/friends have been in law enforcement or were military. Never once in a real interaction has an AR been referred to as a military rifle or a pistol as a combat pistol

I'm not big on how the characterization of some in the media/etc just throwing "combat" in front of pistol in some attempt to, seemingly anyway, manipulate the perception. If we are to take them at their word then is it possible for any full size semi to not meet the criteria? Then what?
