Funny, when Abbott tried to take state action to override federal immigration policy, Biden and the libs had a hissy melt down screaming about how immigration enforcement was strictly a federal power to which the States had no choice but to cooperate.

Absolutely keep them locked up for as long as the criminal statutes allow. But nah on any civil offense if that’s all ICE has. Now some are criminal and within ICE purview and the local PD is patently wrong for not handing them over there.

What isn’t supposed to happen is an officer discharge his firearm without positively determining that his or a fellow agents life is in danger. The guy was prone on the ground and his hands were not free. It is not reasonable as far as I’m concerned that any of those agents could have assessed the situation and positively determined their or another agent’s life was in danger. As somebody just posted I’m inclined to think some jackass improperly trained agent heard gun, gun, gun and fired without positively identifying the threat. It was a bad shoot. And whoever the jackhole walking off with the gun is should have been yelling to the team that he secured the weapon.

Yelling "gun" , doesn't make it legal or justified for a federal agent to then shoot a person, when there is no firearm in the possession of the person who was shot.

Even if he had one gun tak n from him, if he makes a sudden reach into his waistband; the officers have no way of knowing if he is about to whip out a knife or second gun?

There is a reason any time you are even in a traffic stop that you keep your hands in plain sight. No sudden movements. Calm and slow.
