Too much ice

Excusing bigotry. Check. Bigotry isn't bad as long as you're annoyed with a few people. I'd wager that's the source of MOST bigotry.

Again, if one truly saw bigotry as an objective vice and it was blatantly pointed out to them, how hard would it be to simply say, "Damn. My bad. That was a **** post and I should probably work on that..."?

I haven't ignored it. It's been a major part of my discussion.

You don't seem to like the mirrors that you hold up to others when they're held up to you.

"Good faith" would look something like: "Damn. My bad. That was a **** post and I should probably work on that..." instead of excusing it as mere "frustration". Again, I'm having trouble thinking of many bigots that aren't basically just expressing frustration with a few people as a hateful catch-all for the group they're associated with.
No, I think this application is a hell of a reach. Bigotry is generally about race, religion, and other things that would qualify one as a protected class. Marcus and OrangeTsar constantly saying liberals are the problem with this country or hate this country isn't bigotry to me. Even if you think it is, I can't imagine seeing one of them post an "anti-Islam activist" and neo-Nazi that is somehow on the left and responding with "well, you're in the same category because you said liberals are dumb"

Democrats probably fully support this type of behavior. They support killing Trump supporters. Democrats are pledging now that once back into power they will arrest everyone associated w/Trump & his presidency. TDS is strong w/their lunacy.

"Protected class"? That's a legal definition that isn't included in the definition.

I'm the one making a stretch?

So, to recap your self-defenses...

Bigotry is excusable if a person is frustrated with a couple of people in the targeted group. (Same could excuse the neo-nazi).

The literal definition of "bigotry" isn't the one we should be operating with. My uneducated reasoning is the standard we'll hold everyone else to. (I'm sure the neo-nazis hold double standards as well.)

Again, this should help frame the discussion:

obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group:

So, it's apparent that in your mind "bigotry" is not an objectively bad thing. There are times that it's OK, and you'll be the judge of that.

And I'm the one discussing in bad faith?

Wouldn't it be easier and more consistent to just say, "You know what, it was a **** post and I should hold myself to a higher standard"?

It's crazy to lazily demonize entire groups with stupid stereotypes. "The Dems" aren't evil, lawless dangerous anarchists any more than "MAGA" is a cult of idiots that defend racists.
Change maga to repubs, and your statement would have value. Comparing apples to apples.

maga is an extreme subgroup of repubs.

Yes, you're stretching the hell out of the definition of bigotry to apply it to thinking a political opinion is stupid, and using it in ways no one does, in bad faith as usual. I don't say your "blue wave incoming" posts about how the left is crazy are bigoted, and neither would anyone here other than the person always chasing the most bad faith argument possible

No one uses the actual definition of the word? Are you sure it wouldn't just be easier and more consistent to just admit it was a poor post? It's fascinating to watch you make such a big deal about bigotry, just to turn around and defend it. Just fascinating.

My "Blue Wave incoming" posts are making a point that the actions are turning most moderates away from the Democrat party. They aren't saying "Democrats are a a cult of idiots" because I'm frustrated with three democrats. As a matter of fact, I challenged a conservative for doing just that until he/she told me they couldn't care less about bigotry.

Fair enough.

It sounds like you don't actually consider it a vice as much as considering it useful as a concept.

So, to keep score:

Bigotry is OK if you're frustrated with a few people in the target group.

It's OK as long as the target group isn't on your list of people to respect.

You're a victim for being called out on bigotry, after having called others out as bigots.

The list of bigotry defenses is getting long. Does it need to get longer? How hard should it be to decry it in everyone--including yourself? It won't be the end of the world. You won't lose any internet cred. (You'd probably gain some, actually, as it'd be a respectable thing to do.)

This very thread. No reasonable person thinks this is bigotry, but since you're stretching the definition to the point it's unrecognizable, you should be apologizing
The average American is not stupid enough to fall for the liberal narratives anymore.

Now, the lunatics are going inside church services & yelling & screaming their cause.

This one instance right here is such a softball layup for Walz and Frey to come out and push to calm things down.

This is the first time we are seeing this in a blue city where ICE and immigration enforcement operations have taken place where the local authorities weren’t a fan.

This wasn’t happening in LA or Portland or Jersey. Hell it wasn’t happening in Memphis.
