Too much ice

Does anyone here actually know a paid protester, or even met one? I’ve never met one, or chatted with one… there are an awful lot of people out there for all of them to be paid (thousands) and anecdotally I’ve never met one.
I have no idea if they are paid or not. But your premise is faulty. Let me explain.

I've never met anyone from Nepal. My chances to meet someone from there goes us exponentially if I travel to Nepal.

Do you go to protests and engage other protesters in conversation? If not, it is unlikely you would meet a paid protestor.

One question one must ask is, in what context did ICE apply crowd dispersal measures, and what measures were applied? Did they apply them to a church parking lot as the congregation rushed toward their cars to get the best piece of fried chicken at the local buffet? Having seen the recent videos of protests becoming violent, is it beyond the pale to suspect that that may have been the context, especially considering that the injured man in the post was described as an "activist"?

It's probably stupid to assume that he was personally attacking ICE agents, but the wounds do not sound like he was personally targeted by ICE either. Everything looks most like a protest that turned riotous, and the guy had picked a very wrong place/time to be doing whatever he was doing at that time and place.

My "maga" comment was directed specifically at W.TN's comments. Read his words. You see his multiple posts daily.

I think that 10 years ago W.TN was probably a very reasonable and moderate man......now look.

Equating the enforcement of immigration law to segregationists and Hamas probably isn't a very good company to be in either. It's pretty sad if either side just wants to create ignorant broad-brush caricatures instead of discussing with precision.
you think the only reason people are protesting is because ice is enforcing immigration law? seems like your brush has one big bristle too

Because my brush refuses to paint our law enforcement as an Iranian death squad?

Sure thing, if that makes you feel better.
nonsense.

the only equivocation here is saying the refusal to acknowledge the agency of those protesting is a shared trait between those saying the ice protests aren't organic and those saying Iranian protests are cia/mossad sponsored

Then not only is their agency denied, you go on to characterize all opposition as merely being against enforcing immigration law

So you deny it?
I guess you will have to say "yes" at this point.

But we both know better.
Let me be very clear. I deny that ICE enforcement of our federal law is moving in the direction of Iranian death squads, and most especially that they would be doing so intentionally. You are being ridiculous.

I apologize if I misread and/or misinterpreted your intent. I disagree with that as well, but it's not nearly as ridiculous as I had initially perceived.

✌️

When ICE kicks your door down demanding Anne Frank, take the to the local library to read the Encyclopedia Britannica to show she died many decades ago. True, you're likely to be detained for knowing what a library is, where it is, and how to use an encyclopedia, but...

Simply ice "enforcing" our federal law according to @Orange_Crush
Nothing to see here.
There is absolutely no proof given in that "article". The first sentence starts with "alleged". The first link supposed to support the claims goes to a completely different story/headline. As far as I can tell, no names or other details are given.

Do you remember your criticisms of @W.TN.Orange Blood for the things he posts as proof? Perhaps you could consider your own criticisms?

Certainly. But that "article", coupled with all the others, seems to be painting a pretty clear picture

Well, I think we can all agree that you're more than willing to squint at it to see what you can make it into.

Funny that you're cool being the liberal equivalent of what you criticize @W.TN.Orange Blood to be. I'll bookmark this for the next time you clutch your pearls at him.

I'm sorry that the media divide in this country has put the right in a place where they refuse to question their leaders or think that satisficing on trumps policies is the only way.

Look in the mirror sometime, the right (as you like to call them) are no different than the ones out there protesting in regards to refusing to question their tribes policies.

One thing I see is the liberal leadership painting a picture and using extreme hyperbolic language to create people as opponents to ICE. This seems to be proven out as people on the street follow their leads and harass, attack, dox, attack with cars, attempt to snipe, etc... This creates situations where ICE naturally treat the people around them as opponents.

Creates what the liberal leadership seems to want--more 'examples' of ICE treating citizens as 'opponents' and feeds the hyperbolic narrative of acting like 'Nazis'.

Fuel the cycle. Rinse and repeat.

Are they ignoring the dangerous powder keg they're creating, or happy with the dangerous powder keg they're creating?

Saw a video the other day quoting the democratic leadership talking about the fringe/radical side of their base demanding "blood" for political effect against ICE and the Trump admin. If this is true, it's reprehensible.
