The only thing I have figured out is that shooting her in the face was totally unnecessary.I’m not going to pretend to know how dangerous the situation was. I think it’s awfully convenient how people seem to have it figured out depending on political affiliation.
You can’t know that though. Once you’ve made contact with someone else with your vehicle, you’ve effectively fired a shot at them and created a situation. Everything gets foggy after that which is what makes all these extreme statements from politicians so reprehensible. The only thing I have figured out is that shooting her in the face was totally unnecessary.
I don't really give a sh1t about the legality.
It’s definitely been a manufactured outrage in search of a trigger. The left makes a mockery of people lives. This lady was a sacrifice for the causes. Now they want to act like life matters when everyday in communities across the country the poor is killing the poor and not much of a peep out of them. This lady is just a pawn for their propaganda. It's not her life that's of primary importance to those politicians but can they activate the progressive neo-liberal drones as a result.
I've always assumed so, but I'm somewhat surprised you admit it. Is this a first? My default in the PF has always been to counterbalance the extreme rightwing nonsense with the opposite.
When you engage intelligent people it can serve a purpose. There's several that frequently spam low effort posts and misinformation, though. Just ignore them and they'll self contain with walls of text in the meme thread.I still believe that that serves a purpose, but I need to do a better job of checking myself.
BLM will be torching the city soon & give the democrats a happy time to celebrate the destruction they have been after. I guess they showed everyone
they can burn the city down again when they get their way. They have no place
to sleep or go now. I wonder if gov Walz will open his window to smell the damage?
You have to live your life in an absolute echo chamber… or be a paid activist. How insane do you have to be to think it's your job to taunt law enforcement? Especially a 37 year old woman with kids.
I've always seen that as a bit of a Scylla/Charybdis scenario. It looks pretty sketchy to call X event justified yet establish a fireable degree of culpability.
I guess you just decide what looks best (least worst?) and make the call.
I think a lot of this started when "news" became a for profit business and once cable news came about and even moreso the internet it was quickly sussed out that fomenting emotions brought about more eyeballs/clicks and the platforms lent themselves to creating echo chambers. I don't even think the people that started this actually understood how many batshit crazy people there are out there and there's no way turn back now. It’s definitely been a manufactured outrage in search of a trigger.
We can agree to disagree on the last part.I've always assumed so, but I'm somewhat surprised you admit it. Is this a first?
I'll admit, you're somewhat decent at it. I don't particularly mind. I occasionally get caught up 'trying to be right' in arguments, but I generally just like to get a perspective on where opposing points of view are coming from.

BTW, you're right about the WTN post being propaganda, but you're general stance in this thread is wrong. I think you are completely disregarding "based on the totality of the circumstances known to the officer at the time and without the benefit of hindsight"
