I probably don’t get it in the same way you do. But like I say; no big deal for me. Please continue in your support. I would much rather be „governed“ by a libertarian than a liberal ANY day of the week.

The whole purpose of this unmask ICE is to fight their enforcement of immigration policy under the current administration, that's it. A small portion truly fear any mashed agent but I didn't see the outrage at swat etc. If they truly wanted accountability they would demand video recording of every interaction and review of reported wrongdoing.

This is a red herring, the issue isn't the masks, the issue is the enforcement. The biggest rabble rousers on the issue are the biggest beneficiaries of illegal immigrants in their cities. We all know why they are doing this, or at least they should.

Swat serves a very specific, violent function, they get called in after the "normal" measures have proven to be inefficient. ICE as a collective whole, is not SWAT. is not serving a role like SWAT, and whose job is not remotely as dangerous on the average.

If ICE wants to form a special taskforce of SWAT-esque troops whose only job is to raid actual cartel "bases", and they wear masks, I won't complain. SWAT doing raids with masks, does not mean the entire police force gets to conceal their face every day.

if they know where I live they absolutely know who I am. there is no speculation about it. anyone can look up who owns what piece of property. there are public records, and probably even shows up on Zillow.

what database are they going to to compare my picture to? that is going to be as easily searchable as a physical address is? I just reverse image searched myself, you know what Google found after searching from my own phone? not me. barely came up with anything. If you don't believe, try it yourself.

I’m not a member of the libertarian party but at this point they are about the only POTUS candidate I’m willing to vote FOR. I’ve had it casting votes against candidates.

For myself as I’ve grown older I just want people and the damn government to leave me the hell alone and I’ll leave them alone and to stop spending stupid amounts of money on things the government shouldn’t be butting their nose into in the first place. The closest “party” that aligns with is libertarian.

Please save us from these horrors, ICE, and do it with masks on. Be sure to treat him like cattle for 3 months while you detain him, and make him eat out of a bowl on the floor like a dog. Don't let anybody know where he is. Lose his records. How dare he build America.

If they get you name and badge number and have a photo to link it to it ups the threat no? I mean they can positively identify you.

I mean if you can't see the danger there were just going to have to agree to disagree.

There isn't really a need for SWAT to wear masks either. It does protect them to some degree as it does ice though.

I really don't see how.

these guys aren't cops. they aren't serving warrants, not that that has kept cops from arresting the wrong person. they aren't making highly targeted attacks. they are doing brainless attacks, going to ICE facilities where they just assume anyone coming in or out is an ICE agent. it wouldn't matter if they had a face to go with the name or not.

they do not have the sophistication, patience, or training, to use the photos to be any more dangerous.

maybe yall live in towns where everyone knows everyone, and theres like 100 people total, and a picture is reasonable way to hunt someone down. but in a town of any size, how helpful do you honestly think using a photo would be in hunting someone down? have someone take your photo, then have them go a couple blocks away, and have them show that photo around asking people if they know you or where to find you. How reasonable is it the randos are going to be able to point a way back to you? pretty dang low.

You underestimate people, there are people that would dedicate their time to exposing ICE agents, some have done so already. Posting pictures of agents (who were masked) and posting their address online. They absolutely can and have done this.

The size of the town involved is meaningless to the conversation.

The unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
