I've got some real concerns about masked law enforcement for reasons already discussed but the boldened is just silly. There is a very articulable reason for agents working in that capacity to conceal their identity. The reasonable argument is if those reasons supersede the public's concerns about masked enforcement.

From the person that believes all law enforcement is shameful.

I believe that all law enforcement serve the people and enforce the laws via elected officials that make the laws.

As far as face mask go, I'm all for them for all. They serve the purpose assisting in identifying friend and foe.

"Returning people to their homeland or country willing to take them" vs "Disappearing people from the streets."

One is hyperbolic nonsense and the other is a factual summary of what is happening.

My history of holding LEO's to a high standard doesn't indicate that I think the work is shameful. We need law enforcement and it's a tough job that I would never want to do. I'm proud of my Uncle and cousin who were LEO's.

I don't think you understand what masking LEO's does to public trust. I don't think you understand how much public trust matters to law and order.

I think you would understand if they were violating the rights of people you cared about, like say right-wing religious anti-government types.
