As much as you dislike the idea of providing sanctuary to black and brown people, it's fully legal to show up and ask for asylum. You goobers control the house, senate and presidency. Change the law if you don't like it.
Most of these people have applied for asylum. They're allowed to come and apply for asylum. They're not criminals. Maybe a little darker than you, maybe a little less English than you. But they're by and large not criminals. In fact, they're less likely to commit a crime than born and bred Americans because they have a lot more to lose. They're at court because they have immigration hearings.

If ICE is going to be getting all of this additional funding, then I would like to see more deportations of hardcore criminal illegals. A group of illegal Hispanic dudes laying bricks in a residential area isn't moving the needle for me. I understand they entered the US illegally but there are much bigger fish to fry instead of some blue collar guys trying to support their families.
Seems the MAGA base is upset with any amnesty..personally, if they volunteer to come out of shadows, show they have been gainfully employed, no criminal record..then I dont have a problem with it…all others game on.I'd like to see some of the money go towards expanding and speeding up the migrant worker programs.
How so? Care to elaborate some?

Not sure on ever granting citizenship..maybe with some form of restitution.
You do realize those people should have been call asylum in one of the other countries they passed thru to get to the US...according to the the Canada-U.S. Safe Third Country Agreement requires individuals seeking refugee status in either country to make their claim in the first country they arrive in, unless they meet certain exceptions. If an asylum seeker travels through a country considered "safe" and does not seek asylum there, it may impact their ability to claim asylum in a subsequent country. As much as you dislike the idea of providing sanctuary to black and brown people, it's fully legal to show up and ask for asylum. If you look really close you can see @evillawyer fighting in there somewhere. When asylum is denied or revoked why aren't they leaving?
Just like any other government system, the asylum rules are being exploited. Just like Trump saying that we should make an exception for farm workers, hospitality workers, ect....do you not think that will be taken advantage of too in the future? Happens every time. Everything starts with the best of intentions you know. Most of these people have applied for asylum. They're allowed to come and apply for asylum. They're not criminals.
