With just the basics at the border, it's the one thing he has gotten right in his second term. I agree that in some "sanctuary" cities a heightened ICE presence was needed. The tactics though, have been anything but professional and efficient, cost wise. I find it funny NYC hasn't been targeted for heightened presence. I also raise an eyebrow to the selective presence in Texas. Less documented workers in Austin than Houston, San Antonio and DFW, but a more heightened physical presence in Austin than the others. It's not because people are being deported more per capita in those cities. Just look at the number of recent deportations in Texas and Florida vs. those in blue cities.I largely agree here but let's not pin all this on Trump, with even the bare minimum of law and order with regard to immigration and we aren't where we are now.
