Too much ice

Calls a press conference to tell us DHS and ICE are lying about everything all the time. He specifically calls out @tim 's 1360 number and says DHS has not backed this number at all. He goes on for 22 minutes about the misinformation. He says their number is 307. They have repeatedly asked them to explain the number and they refuse. The lie is more than 4x as big as the reality.

He also caught them in 4k claiming their siege tactics yielded detainment of two hardened criminals who were actually just transferred to them by the DOC.

If you cite DHS claims, you're arguing in bad faith, at this point.

ICE screwed up today. A bad mistake was made with his decision making unless there's something I've missed.
This shouldn't even be a scenario; but Walz is encouraging chaos and I'm sure he's loving the show.
These useful idiots protesting are nothing more than sacrificial pawns in their game.. smarten up
Double down the ICE efforts, call in the insurrection act and finish the job.
Then leave that pathetic state and bring Tim Walz to prison.

It’s harassment by paid professional protesters.
BLM 👉Free Palestine 👉 Anti-ICE
Each movement gets more violent and more disruptive.
Ask yourself, who is behind this and sponsoring it?

Recording federal agents in public is a 1st amendment protected activity.

The rest of your post is nonsense unless you have evidence to back up your claim that Alex Pretti was a "paid professional protester"

BLM was the most destructive and violent group of protestors in US History by a wide margin compared to the others. BLM Protest caused over 2 Billion dollars in damage.
ICE protest are people without purpose or responsibilities trying to feel good about themselves. BLM was dangerous across all of America. This is mild at most, with a few bad apples.

It is done to provoke law enforcement, and if a rioter ends up dead it’s a win to say…See, Trump.

Minneapolis shooting: DHS has claimed it's unlawful for protesters to carry a gun…even with a legal permit

Bovino suggested, without providing evidence, that Pretti intended to inflict maximum damage on law enforcement since he was armed with a loaded firearm and "violently resisted."

You want to ignore the law and people's fundamental rights, Herr Goebbels Bovino?

This poll came out yesterday, but presumably taken before what happened.

Witness says Alex Pretti didn't resist or reach for a gun before shooting in new court filing

A witness to Saturday’s shooting in Minneapolis described watching a man – later identified as Alex Pretti – be shot by a federal agent after trying to help a woman who had been pepper sprayed, saying he did not resist or reach for a gun, according to a new filing in a lawsuit against the Trump administration brought by protesters in December.

“I have read the statement from DHS about what happened and it is wrong,” the unnamed witness said in the Saturday filing. “The man did not approach the agents with a gun. He approached them with a camera. He was just trying to help a woman get up and they took him to the ground.”

The Department of Homeland Security said earlier that Border Patrol officers attempted to disarm an armed man who had approached them, and an agent fired defensive shots when the man “violently resisted.” Border Patrol Commander-at-Large Gregory Bovino claimed the man was trying to “massacre law enforcement.”

The witness said Pretti was observing and helping to direct traffic around a convoy of federal vehicles before he and the witness moved closer to document the immigration activity with their phones. When an agent asked them to back up, the witness said they moved onto the sidewalk, but Pretti stayed in the street and filmed.

Pretti moved closer to two other observers in the street as they were threatened with pepper spray and one was pushed to the ground, the witness said. An agent sprayed all three of them in the face, the witness said. Pretti put his hands above his head and was sprayed again and pushed by the agent.

Pretti then tried to help the woman who was pushed to the ground before being grabbed by multiple agents and pulled to the ground, the witness said.

”I didn’t see him touch any of them – he wasn’t even turned toward them. It didn’t look like he was trying to resist, just trying to help the woman up. I didn’t see him with a gun,” they wrote. “Four or five agents had him on the ground and they just started shooting him. They shot him so many times.”

Guess who was in MN this past week?

Our very own Nazi Brownshirt Bovino.

"Bovino lies" refers to U.S. Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino admitting to lying under oath about use-of-force incidents during Chicago immigration raids ("Operation Midway Blitz"), specifically claiming he was hit by a rock before deploying tear gas (when video showed otherwise) and denying tackling a protester (which video clearly showed). Federal judges found his testimony not credible and imposed restrictions on agents' tactics due to these documented falsehoods and unjustified force against protesters and clergy, leading to calls for his removal.

Key Incidents & Findings:
  • Tear Gas Incident: Bovino claimed a rock hit him before he fired tear gas, but video showed the rock hit after the deployment; he admitted this discrepancy was a lie.
    • Tackling Incident: Despite video evidence, Bovino denied tackling a man who was backing away, claiming he never used force, a statement a judge found untruthful.
    • Judge's Rulings: A federal judge found agents under Bovino's command lied about confronting violent agitators and imposed strict limits on their use of force.
    • Congressional Action: Lawmakers moved to subpoena Bovino for his alleged violations and false testimony during these operations.

Noem says Minneapolis suspect committed ‘domestic terrorism,’ accuses Walz, Frey of inciting violence

Noem says Minneapolis suspect committed an act of 'domestic terrorism'
Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem defended labeling the Minneapolis suspect’s actions as "domestic terrorism" during a press event on Saturday.

"An individual approached U.S. Border Patrol officers with a 9-millimeter semi-automatic handgun," and agents attempted to disarm him. "The officers attempted to disarm this individual, but the armed suspect reacted violently," Noem said. "Fearing for his life and for the lives of his fellow officers around him, an agent fired defensive shots."

Medics attempted to render aid, Noem said, but the man, later identified as 37-year-old Alex Pretti, "was pronounced dead at the scene."

She also claimed that the Pretti had "two magazines with ammunition in them that held dozens of rounds" and no identification.

"This looks like a situation where an individual arrived at the scene to inflict maximum damage on individuals and to kill law enforcement," Noem said.

Reality: ICE took his gun and then shot him multiple times while he was on the ground.

I have zero insight as to how all this happened, but I really wonder if his gun somehow discharged when it was taken from him and the officers reacted? It just doesn’t make sense how many shots were fired.
That one video slowed down looks like the Sig Sauer went off (as they do because they are awful guns) in the agent's hand even though he was holding it correctly

That sure changes the narrative for both sides if that is what happened...

A vest that says police doesn’t give them authority to shove a women to the ground (obviously not saying you think so). The agent is an emotional puss that should never been allowed to serve in any capacity. Alex Pretti was pretty clearly trying to de-escalate and help the women

I do think making the situation worse in both of these (and other recorded instances involving ICE vs protestors fights this week) have been that actual ice on the ground (no pun intended) has caused grabbing, pushing people back, chasing after people, running away, etc. into a slip sliding falling, tripping, mess which has made "normal interactions" like these into over exaggerated "hold your breath" as you fall down type moments which are more dangerous physically for both the protestors and agents
