I think that Hardesty and Creer will get it done and we should redshirt bryce and oku. toney williams we shouldnt and let him run through the tackles every once in a while or move him to full back.

HELL NO. you can guarantee to see alot of BB in the first game, if not starting. you don't sign the number 1 prospect in the country to redshirt him.

:good!:Even White- Bush and Brown- Cadillac got dinged up throughout the year. We need the depth, especially as the freshman learn blocking schemes when they aren't running for the house (still prefer screens if they are rushing too hard, but I am comfortable in my la-z-boy.
Besides- when is the last time that we a legit chance for a RB to break open and carry a game on his back? I think this will push the entire stable to run harder and faster. Jamal? How long ago was that?

If we need to make it easier on the QB's, having the #1 All purpose RB and the #1 RB (not to mention #1 overall by some picks) can only help. Giddy up.

Amen to that, depth wins games.

I am so pumped we have BB and Oku! I love how many RBs we have. I agree with Williams probably goin to FB and Poole falling on the depth chart.

Hardesty looked great at practice and he just knows how to find the endzone so to me he will be our starter on day one. But he always gets hurt which make the BB pick up even better. I see BB running just like Hardesty but faster and eventually better. I have always like Hardesty and I have thought he has been our best back over Foster except he kept getting hurt.

IMO Depth Chart will look like:

Hardesty
Brown
Creer
Oku (if eligable)
Poole
Williams

He may be the #1 player in the Nation but he is a frosh and will get a ton of carries this year but I think Hardesty will be our guy. JMO He just looks faster and better this year with the new S&C coach.

Oh, dare I forget to mention- having Freakin' Eric Berry on the other side of the ball can't hurt...much....unless you play WR for the Dawgs or Gators.
BIT- Has anyone know if they update the recruiting rankings? Looks like Oku and BB could put us in top 10 running as far as team recruiting rankings.

I believe Rivals has us #10.

You can never have too many good running backs! Injuries are too much of a factor in the college game.

It seems Southern Cal always has a bunch on roster or signs 2 or 3 every year and usually all are 4/5-Star High School All-Americans so it doesn't seem to effect them.

Now before anyone starts trashing me in noway am i saying we shouldnt have got Oku or Brown!

But does anyone think we have to many RB's on this team?

Hardesty ( Senior )
Creer ( Junior )
Poole ( Sophomore )
T. Williams ( FRESHMAN )
Oku ( FRESHMAN )
Brown ( FRESHMAN )C.J. Jackson ( FRESHMAN )

Thats alot of Freshman running backs needed to share one ball. Does anyone get redshirted & does anyone end up transferring?

Hardesty- He better hope he doesn't get injured because it will be hard to get back in the rotation.

Creer- He better assert himself this spring as a difference maker if he wants to get a good amount of carries.

Poole- No Comment

T. Williams- Our true short yardage and goaline back.

Oku- Frosh year KR and some special packages for his skill set. Also will be first up if any of the top 2 backs are injured.

Brown- Will be used in like Adrian Peterson but without the big workload. Will be a matchup nightmare in the passing game. I expect to see him and Oku out there in certain packages at times. He adds a big boost to our corps.

CJ Jackson- Are you a walk-on?

We're Back Vol fans. We will run the ball this year.

I don't believe you can really ever have to many rb's, especially when the majority of them are highly talented.

I agree with your assessment. And off the top of my head, USC's always brought up, but Bama and LSU seem to have a good number of backs as well.

You can never have too many stud running backs, especially with injuries every team suffers each year.

I think UT did pretty well with Jamal Lewis, Travis Henry and Travis Stephens on the same team... You can't have too much depth at a position like this.
