Somebody somewhere is leaking out all the info. Gruden offered turned it down,Muschamp almost signed last night but couldn't get the power he wanted turned it down. Hamilton needs to re-check his inner-circle. I'm tired of everyone knowing everything up to the minute, Geez. Also, anyone else notice how Fox said Kiffin weaseled out Knoxville and ESPN opens with a LA Laker story, even though broadcast from there still sugar coating the story about the weasel and his band of liars. Cutcliffe is what I'm hearing so it's probably leaked source and his call, good or bad.

And where are you getting all this info? Because I'm sure everybody else here would like to know.

Apparently you dont remember reading Hamilton's explanations about the search last season. Hamilton stays one step ahead of all this information. Some of it is leaked on purpose to keep attention away from who he is really going after. And then of course you have the fact that tons of this 'leaked' information is completely fabricated BS by Joe Schmooo. Like the latest rumor that came from somebody 'a few levels above Hamilton.' Come on please...

You guys didn't want Muschamp anyway. He wanted the stipulation in his contract that he could leave at any point and take the job at Texas if it became open which Tennessee wasn't willing to comply with. He was just going to become a HC, get experience and then bolt whenever Brown left Texas.

Posted this in another thread but I'll say it here. When Hamilton hired Kiffin he let rumors go on as a distraction from his real target. Butch Davis was a big rumor a year ago but was never interviewed. He's in Dallas interviewing because it's a major metro area away from the media. We probably won't know until the dust settles and there is a press conference.

True, except I think UGA is where his heart is. Same idea tho, UGa or Tex was for sure gonna come after him, can you blame MH for The kiff clause?

No, I completely understand him wanting to put a clause in the contract. But Muschamp was going to leave UT for the other UT and then go back to the other UT. It would have been the same situation with Kiffin all over again as Muschamp would have gone to Texas as soon as the job became available and reports are Brown is going to retire after the 2010 or 2011 season.

Hey Mikey just called me from the Virgin Islands. He's on the beach. He finds it hilarious that everyone thinks he's in Dallas.

As my publicist brother-in-law always says ..... "Most internal leaks are intentional to gain leverage. Information, even mis-information, can help people or organizations get to where they want to be."

Just my way of saying it isn't always what it seems.

I think the fans are running the campaign for misinformation all by themselves. Most of these rumors and threads smell of complete fantasy.

I agree. I don't even think Hamilton is in Dallas, and I don't think Muschamp is the primary target.

Muschamp was the original #1 target, but he hasn't been since yesterday morning when he shot down the offer.

What "power" are you talking about? This is not a pro franchise.

What makes you think all these BS rumors are leaks? I think it just people making wild guesses. most of which have no basis in fact
