Doesn't matter who they name or what the title is, they lose vitello and the program is back to square one....if not the crapper again.

In late Oct/early Nov? Maybe you can talk a guy into leaving at that point but I'm not sure what it would say about him. I think the best thing for everyone would be to retain Elander, but we also don't officially have an opening yet.

honestly, the biggest thing i have learned through all of this is how little MLB managers make. i honestly would have thought that the lowest paid manager would be making like 5-8 million a year, based on what teams overspend on players. then, someone like the dodgers or yankees manager, i would have thought would make like 10-15 million a year. but i guess when you pay the players what you do, there cant be much left over

They also have way less impact on wins and losses given their limited role in franchises, but shoulder much of the blame when things go wrong.

Well most of the negative things I've heard about him was from people complaining about ticket prices. This is the first I've really seen where people are truly criticizing him outside of that. Maybe I just haven't kept up with it all but I feel like if he does in fact let coach E walk if Tony leaves then he'll really feel the pressure from the fan base.

Stricklen and Napier are friends, look how that turned out. They don’t have to be friends. They just have to get the best they can for their respective prerogatives and make such are not driven by their egos. Then they’ll get the best outcome possible. I believe in win-win-wins, or at least mutual slight disappointment.
