Tony V speaks after decision to leave

The FF people over here telling people in here to relax.. every Saturday during football season they have a damn meltdown in their forum...
Every forum for every team has to deal with that element of a fanbase. Eye rolls readily available. Too many confuse their opinion with truth and get further fueled by a few cyber backslaps. Trusting one’s OWN logic is a real risk. Too many declarations, not enough questions (other than rhetorical) make them easy to pick out.

We love you Tony.

That guy who texted you is not a real VFL.

The people who spread lies about our program aren't real VFLs. Guess I'm a giants fan now lol

Someone needs to tell DW to get off his ass and make this right. Tony wants to be here . Do whatever it takes to make him feel wanted and bring him back today. It’s an absolute shame that it even got to this point.
how could you read that statement and your takeaway is to yell more about how this is all Danny's fault? I swear some people on here are functionally illiterate...

It helps Gilbert has been in that locker room and been appreciated by others on the team, no doubt telling story after story about his time at Tennessee. Those guys are already going to know good things about him.

Posey's full-force support will also help Vitello. The guy has Musial-like credibility in San Francisco amongst both players and fans.

It is a great franchise and Vitello has one of their legendary players putting himself on the line for him. It would not surprise me to see him succeed given his abilities.
I’ve already jumped on the bandwagon lol. Their fans are extremely excited for Vitello and welcoming us Vols with open arms. Helps the pain a lil bit.

I wish I could do it.... but I can't. I'm a lifelong Cardinals fan who possesses an underlying dislike of the Giants thanks to the 2012 and 2014 NLCS's and the whole "Buster Posey is the best catcher in baseball, even better than Molina!" narrative BS the media pushed back in the day. I will be happy if Tony is successful, but a Giants "fan"? Never happening.

I'll be checking in on the Giants on for the late games.

They have one of the great stadiums to watch a game on television. Unique ballpark with very close camera angles on the action. You feel like you are right there at the stadium instead of in your house.

This is a different sort of deal than anything previously done in baseball. But Vitello is getting a great platform to work with over there.

DW was seen at Dollywood a few days ago in khaki shorts and high black dress socks and leather shoes. I spoke with him and mentioned the CTV situation and if it bothered him. He said we paid him pretty good and we can always find another coach to replace him. I said the fans love him tho. He said they'll love the replacement too and that almost every CWS title in CWS history has been won with a coach not named TV. Plus as we parted, he said back that UT is a football school, so it's not that big a deal.

You guys are unreal. Our AD has nuclear upgraded nearly every sport on campus to elite national levels like we've never witnessed. And you act like he fell asleep at the wheel while a young national champion coach just walked out unnoticed for a next level job. Geesh, I feel like I need Crazy Pills!

I am playing. I love Danny and Coach V. I wish they had a better relationship but both are grown men.

Man, oh man. I don’t know of another coach anywhere that speaks a stream of consciousness quite like this guy. Often quirky, sometimes goofy, buy damn so natural, honest and oftentimes downright funny.

I can’t imagine not loving playing for TV.

I’m a Yankees fan to the core but I’ll be pulling for coach to succeed in a big time fashion.

SIAP somewhere but this just popped up on 247sports on FB.

Well I guess that answers the question of whether he could be talked out of it or not! All the best TV! VFL

Let’s say Tony does fail at the next level, do we do everything to bring him back or do we keep who we have at the time and tell TV to kick rocks.

Don’t see Danny going down the route if it happens. Be curious to see how the fans react, IF that were to happen. The heat he’s getting to hire Elander, imagine the heat to hire Tony back in a few years.
If the UT coach at that time is successful, there is no way they fire him to open the job for Tony or anybody else.
