talking about Chuck Webb got me to thinking about what Robinson is up to.

***please, nobody be a smart @$$ and say he's probably under a bridge somewhere***

What bridge?:)

I just read he was released from prison after completing a sentence on drug forgery convictions.

Man, just looking back at some of the players we had... Robinson, Webb, Pickens, Dale Carter... we had some electric guys run through Knoxville. I sure do miss seeing those type of guys. :cray:

If you read the fine print on that NY times article it was published in 1993. I had forgotten that T Rob led the Redskins to a victory during the strike season of '87. Cool.

Were you referring to a different article?

SPORTS PEOPLE: FOOTBALL; Robinson Is Freed - New York Times
It was some article I read a few weeks ago when I was thinking about whatever became of him.I'm not sure if that is the same one.

Yeah I kinda figured he wasn't 28 anymore.:)

“Robinson throws, McGee catches. It was there all the way.”
John Ward’s call against Auburn. Man, i can still hear that quote.

I miss the 85 vols! My fav is Dale Jones . If we had a few more like Dale on Defense we would be unstoppable.

Well, we probably have had some that could have been gamebreakers, but I'm not sure if we've put them in a position to succeed.

Let's not go down this road as to why we don't have the playmakers anymore... that has been rehashed too much already.

wow, so no one has any idea where T-Rob is these days? when I was a kid I loved him. The drug thing broke my heart.
