Not following the logic here. Robinson got hurt and his team was undefeated the rest of the season.

Robinson got hurt from a deliberate direct hit to his knee from a Alabama DL who later played at KC (can't remember his name). I'm not saying it was intentional, but neither am I saying it wasn't. However, we did win out after that game IIRC.

Wasnt it a tie against Ga Tech the following week?

Well, I lived the ‘85 season. I don’t mean to belittle DD’s great season but Tennessee’s seasons have always been heavily loaded up thru Alabama. 1985 was no different.

And he threw the ball like a legend. One of the best to wear the orange IMO
You must have just watched him for that half a season because the Robinson I watched made some serious boneheaded plays...Like throwing the ball halfway across the field instead of spiking the ball against Kentucky and watching the time run out while the ball was in mid air, Or hey how about the time he tried running the ball against Maryland while time was running out and we were in field goal range and of course tried to break tackles and fumbled the ball and we lost...I can name several others but I do not rank him even close to the top 10 qb's we have had...He had a monsterous arm and that was about it....Just my opinion and I know 99% of the people here rank him that higher because of that one Auburn game.
