I seriously doubt that went down. Seems pretty harsh and uncalled for.

Basilio is full of rumors and he said/she said. He's always got a source that is about as accurate as our bball team from the ft line. My personal favorite is that Haslam's plane is headed to Chicago and bringing Lovie Smith to Knoxville. Tifwiw, I don't believe alot of the garbage he puts out there. Others may disagree.

Everyone is making speculations on this whole Wilcox thing! The only people who know is the people involved. I trust in Dooley when he says no one has been offered. If there is an offer on the table, We'll get another coordinator!

Let the chips fall where they fall. :good!:

Tony Basilio is a joke, and so is "X". Never saw the "big fish" come out of the pond. For your betterment, I wouldn't listen to that clown.

...and if you need more proof, just check out the guy's website and tell me how you feel about how reliable he is. His site looks like it was created in 1993 and hasn't been updated since...the guy is a joke.

I'm starting to wonder if Basilio's "X" is just another name for what he dreams about at night.

Don't believe a word Tony Basilio says until its posted on TOS...

you will probably ask "which TOS?" ANY OF THEM!!!

Basilio's show is highly entertaining, and he is "in on" the joke most of the time. If you understand Tony's affinity for pro wrestling his show makes a great deal of sense.

But one shouldn't confuse his show with journalism, or the production of news items.

TB just throws stuff at the wall to see if it will stick. He gets lucky every now and then. I would not doubt if he and X are the same person.

I think he's reliable. Most posters on here flame because he's doesn't bat 1.000. He's right most of the time. And it still remains to be seen if the "Big Fish" visited us in November. And if the "Big Fish" story turns out to be true, the posters will still be haters. Sports Talk hosts and meterologists are too easy to pick on for these guys.

he's really not and the coaching search proved that. Thing is he throws out more crap so he can say he gets stuff right. He's probably around the Mendoza line on predictions

Here's another tidbit from todays' show that he gathered from a staff insider: He said Wilcox wasn't particularly happy/comfortable here. More of a West Coast guy rather than a Southern Guy. Also said Dooley wasn't pleased with the defense this season. specifically the "continuity" (i think is the word that was used) between the defensive units.

Basillio and his co-hort, AA, speculated if it was Wilcox himself that is selling himself for the Texas job rather than Texas courting Wilcox. And if that was the case, they'd concur with Hatvol's thread solution and they "read between the lines" from Dooley's comments yesterday that that's the route Dooley would also take.

Coaching search proved that he's wrong most of the time? Okay

you don't remember his Muschamp and Lovie Smith bits? If you're looking to TB for inside info or breaking news then you're going to be very disappointed

I have always thought that he and X were the same- he just post his most reliable stuff as X. (still not all that reliable)
