Tony, I'm a big fan of yours and a long time listener to your show. I was excited to hear last week that you would be taking a look at VolNation today.

I'll start by saying that I really have followed your show for quite a while. I recall the days (when Tennessee had a competitive football team) of looking forward to spending Florida week listening to you and your team. I remember the Friday afternoon remotes, the broadcasts from the Purple Porpoise and the simulcasts with the Florida radio station (the man's name escapes me - Steve something maybe?). Those were good times.

I continue to listen to your show as much as possible and I appreciate all that you do for the "common" Tennessee fan.

You asked for us to give you a bit of information about our site here at VolNation. I started it about 5 years ago, on a whim really. I won't bore you with the details but obviously I had no idea that it could grow to its current size. We always have a very large number of users online and I attribute that to an exceptional user base and an outstanding group of moderators.

We are a bit different from many traditional message boards out there. We try to keep things PG-13 whenever possible. I realize that both young and old visit and post here often, so we've tried to provide an outlet that is suitable for all ages. We don't allow profanity and we discourage posters from attacking each other -- my philosophy is attack the post not the poster. I believe we should have enough respect for one another not to make it personal.

We don't censor opinions on either side as long as it's done in good taste. We have plenty of representation from both the Fulmerites and Negavols, as we like to call them.

Tony, that about covers the basics. Below are a few features that new visitors might enjoy. I'm sure our members will contribute others. Feel free to post any other questions that you have.

-Tennessee Vols Recruting Forum – all recruiting all the time.
-Game Day Threads - fans from across the nation post thousands of comments during the game
-Weekly Pick Contest - win prizes
-VolNation Mobile - access from your mobile phone while you are on the go
-VolNation Blogs

Thanks again for featuring VolNation.com on your show today.

Tony, I would like to hear your comments on the players attending yesterday and also what really happened with them walking out on Hamilton.

Also, do we really want to hang on to coaches just for recruiting purposes?? I think that would be wrong and would undermine the new coach from day 1. I hate it for them, but high school players are the reason you keep people here at UT.

Tony, the air was stale we needed some fresh air. Fulmer is great, but he's not bigger than the university.

How viable a candidate is Lane Kiffin? Also, if Kiffin comes, does he bring Monte with him?
