Tony Basilio just reported...

FSU wasn’t a 10 win team this year because Francois got hurt week 1 vs Bama and they played a whole season with a true freshman at QB.

FSU is definitely lightyears ahead of us. Just look at the records in last 5-6 years

6-6 is impressive

Light years? No way. Jimbo has been stable and Winston made them really good. I give them a lot of credit but our facilities and atmosphere is among the top. Their advantage is smoking hot cheerleaders and the beach.

Since 2013, FSU is 52-13 and Tennessee is 34-29.

So yes, FSU is lightyears ahead of us.

Every tradition-rich program is ultimately only as good as the current coach.

Should Fuente be interested in us I’d like that hire.

Fuente - HC
Steele - DC (is gus leaves Aub, or we offer steel a raise.

I really like Patterson he and Petersen have been my top 2. I would love if he’s interested.

I think we really have a chance to land a successful coach with Fulmer as AD now

Butch beat Fuente...Dooley beat Butch....time to stop this pattern.

Bev did give a big F U to the Haslams, ballsy on her part.

We may not get an all-star but coaches respect Fulmer, they had ZERO respect for Currie or Haslam. This is a start. Don't get upset if we don't get an A -list guy

At the presser, Fulmer referred to some in the past who declined UT but might now be interested. It was arguably his most candid remark. My guess is that he had Patterson on the brain. Remember, Patterson publicly chided UT a few weeks ago for basically choosing flash over substance. And who can relate better to those remarks than Fulmer, a fellow good ole boy who surpassed expectations. Would you fault Fulmer if he sees a little of himself in Patterson?

Would Patterson leave TCU? Maybe. He can’t win a natty there, because he can’t recruit top ten classes. In spite of resounding success, he sits only at 28 in the composite recruiting rankings - and that’s with BAY, TEX and TAM rebuilding. TCU simply does not have the facilities or name recognition to draw top recruits, meaning Patterson will need to leave if he wants a trophy. And Jimbo may have just given him added incentive. So, don’t be surprised when two country boys join forces on the hill.
Stop embarrassing UT

Fuente and Patterson......I don't believe that for one second, both are definately out of the running

Obviously, I highly doubt we come away with either Patterson (just signed an extension) or Fuentes (buyout). But if we manage to pull either one in after the **** show that just happened... Fulmer would go down as the GOAT for TN.

The funny thing about Fuentes is he lost to butch that lost to dooley.... I really don't know the logic in this
What killed fuenta if you remember was turnovers. Bad ball control..

After this week's events.. John Reid and Basilio and Houston Kress are about the only 3 sain reporters that are not controlled by crooked haslam.

I'm sure there is more.. just those 3 come to mind.

The downside of wiping the slate clean? I can just hear it now..."Things are so bad at Tennessee that getting turned down ONCE by every coach out there wasn't bad enough...now they turn around and talk to the same coaches and get turned down AGAIN....hahahaha...you can't make this stuff up...hahahahaha"

I'm sick of us getting ridiculed by everyone.

Hope Phil can get it done..and if we are gonna get turned down...do it discreetly.

I know...who cares what the naysayers say...etc etc....but it gets old.

Oh stfu. One bad year does not take away UT's prestige as a program. Think about it, the national media has been up our azz the past week due to our coaching search. If the same events were happening at a lesser program nobody would have paid attention. We get media attention for better or worse because we are a top 10 historic program. Our brand alone attracts elite recruits. Oh and FSU just snuck into a bowl today by beating lowly Lousiana Monroe. Keep telling yourself they are light years ahead of UT.

Well the national networks sure love us. Every game we play is either the featured national game on CBS.... ESPN....or SEC Network. You never see Arkansas, Ole Miss or Miss St. Heck Texas A and M or Auburn aren't as easily accessible on TV. At least that what it seems like. Someone might have numbers or whatever to refute that...but it seems every game we play is a big game to the national media. Except for the patsies...which are covered by SEC Network too.
