True, but remember the old saying, "The nut doesn't fall very fat from the tree".Nicos dad is who we think he is. The guy is a certifiable nut job and control freak that controls everything his sons say and do. Nico is a different man when his father is around him. Nick basically bullies his son.
We may end up with a better replacement than we think.
Heup was tipped off by Lanning 3 weeks ago
The Boosters could be willing to pony up 4 Million to the right guy
We will announce our guy most likely Thursday or Friday.
My heart truly goes out to Nico. His father is going to destroy him if he doesn't find the courage to be his own man. What a damn mess
Don't you wanna know how connected he is and what he's having for lunch?A 29 minute video for information that could be communicated in 30 seconds.
Okay, I didn't listen to it, so maybe they covered a couple of other things, too. Call it two or three minutes worth of info.
They could share it all in 2 or 3 minutes.
But they aren't monetized for being efficient. They're monetized for maximizing the amount of youtube people watch. So...29 minutes.
I'm not rewarding that by watching it.
Tennessee Is Encountering Turbulence In Their Search For Nico's Short Term Replacement? We have learned that Tennessee has heard from a few agents that they would be willing to see the Vols as a viable option for their current starting QB clients under the condition that Tennessee find more skill players in this spring portal. In fact, one veteran QB has been adamant that they would be willing to perhaps take less money (or less than fair market value even) in exchange for UT enhancing the roster on offense. In other words Tennessee's situation and opportunity, though they have a bag, isn't as attractive as it could be with the paucity of proven skill players on this team as it's currently constructed. Will the Vols get a front line QB against this backdrop? It looks like they might be forced to get a few more pieces first. Replacing Nico could be expensive if Tennessee is forced to add another piece of two. Geez ...
If I remember correctly, Tony was saying that Nico is not the best fit for Tennessee’s offense. I don’t remember him saying that Tennessee’s offense was not the best fit for Nico. There is a difference imo. Nico not being able to do what Heupel ended him to I don’t think is the same as Heupel not being able to develop and showcase Nico. It’s a matter of which party wasn’t able to do what the other needed. TJ lays the fault at Heupel’s feet whereas Tony says it’s more on Nico not having what it takes. Not sure if that makes sense, just my read on it.Odd how Basillo was one of the main ones tossed around as having alluded to the Nico situation being revolved around the offense. Yet, when TJ Houshmandzadeh says the same thing, Basillo says he lives on a parallell universe..
Yeah, I don’t take everything he says serisijyk, but J like him personally and find the show entertaining. As far as people I trust for info, it’s Low, AP and probably Adam Sparks, but those guys are journalists. Tony isn’t, and doesn’t claim to be a journalist so you need to take it with a grain of salt.I find him completely FOS but also entertaining at times.
Tony hears a lot and reports all of it. Doesn’t have the ability sort through the BS and the decent rumors though.Yeah, I don’t take everything he says serisijyk, but J like him personally and find the show entertaining. I think that’s about right. It abuses me the amount of hate he gets on here. I have known the guy for 30 years and I think the world of him, but I have found that if I keep my expectations reasonable and I understand not everything he says is gospel, I don’t get too worked up about any of it. I find his show entertaining and it’s usually pretty funny. He doesn’t take himself too seriously. Sometimes he seems to know things, sometimes maybe he gets bad information, or like you said ,he runs with stuff that maybe he shouldn’t run with. Overall, I would take him over any of the other local sports shows.Tony hears a lot and reports all of it. Doesn’t have the ability sort through the BS and the decent rumors though.
He stated some Tennessee guys were in talks with someone on another team. These Tennessee guys are not a part of the university because tampering is wrong. That's why random donors make that trip. That's what I heard anyway.I seriously doubt there will be any player at any position in the portal worth $4 million per year.
