I'm not bashing OCI, but JMO, he has lost some credibility. Again, he brings info, and that is alright. But I'm not going to have as much confidence in him as I might have before.

That is mine and anybody else's prerogative. No need to slam the guy.

The reason they're at JUCO more often than not though is because they aren't acting like men. But I agree with your post

The evidence is there that what skeet and OCI said was true whether you want to admit it or not...

I know it's easy to pile on them now but nobody...not even the great BPV...can do anything about recruits lying right up to the last day before they sign

I think it's pretty well documented what transpired with the JUCO's today...

Cliff note version...the East MS boys lied straight to our coaches faces and O. Jacobs woke up an decided he was scared of the impending competition with Marsalis Teague...

If people don't understand how OCI, skeet and SBV's statements could be true when they were posted but change in the days leading up to today then I just don't know what to say to that

Not claiming greatness, but the dumbassery about "those who know recruiting..." was hurl worthy.

For the record, IMO, early recruiting info is as worthless as tits on a boar, so I put no value whatsoever in the commentary of either guy. I do find OCI to be anything but credible. Skeeter appears to have real info, but it's still useless.

It just continues to show you that nothing is final until the ink is dry. No need to get excited or upset until this happens. I've learned this lesson over and over again. Its come back around full force this year and we're not even to NSD yet.

Ha thanks. A few flamed me for having such a poor attitude or whatever because I know anything can happen in recruiting--even to Vol "Locks". Turns out this time I was right. I try not to let the college choices of 18/19 year old kids affect my mood too much.

If you've got problem with it then by all means ignore me...but taking the time to throw these kind of insults at me says alot about your character...

In fact...since this kind of posting is par for the course for you...I'd put your character right up there with what Autry and Jacobs showed over the last week

I think we have all learned by now to take the "insiders'" info with a grain of salt. It appears that many learned this lesson the hard way today unfortunately.

Another disappointing day in a long, long succession of disappointing days for all of us. CDD's recruiting has been his saving grace thus far, I just pray that today's events are not indicative of what is going to happen come NSD.

We really cannot afford any further steps back at this point. I read somewhere recently that a new D1 football coach only has something like a 15% chance of surviving the first 3 or 4 years (can't remember the exact stats here, please forgive my memory) these days. That is a sad statistic, but college football is now nothing more than big business. Everyone screwing everyone else over just to get a step ahead or a dollar more. I think the lack of character we are seeing by these JUCO players now a days is completely par for the course considering everything else going on.

Oh well, I guess we just have to keep our heads up and try to stay positive, as we have become so accustom to over the last several years.

Go VOLS!
