Is this guy as legit as he seems? He is mentioned with a lot the big name guys we are in on. He was tearing it up at auburn before their meltdown and could be the best thing to happen in recruiting since lame and bunch. I've talked to a few auburn fans who said we was a great coach and recruiter. Excited to see who all he can sign!

Started noticing this too. Seems like every recruit I follow on here mentions Coach Thigpen. Man is earning his money.

Saw him at Jason's Deli once. I'm pretty sure he had three cell phones and he was using all of them... On a Sunday! Recruiting never sleeps.

the reporter who wrote this lost her previous job for her reporting during the Duke lacrosse scandal and several people mentioned in this aricle have come out and said they were miss quoted or their quotes were takin out of.context...not saying i think auburn is clean in this but the source is questionable

Always good to know your source. Thanks

While I think Auburn was guilty of some of these claims, I think unsavory reporters just trying to dig up a dirt story and misquoting folks should be a crime. I'm not talking just this incident I just feel a big problem in our society is a segment of media jouranlist that don't care about truths. They would rather just sensationalize a story regardless of the truth something for their own gain. These days some just want to find dirt for a story whether it's true or not, it's time for these types too face the music if they just right anything to make a buck. Again I am not defending auburn as I think they have some explaining to do but a segment of our media is TRASH. GO VOLS!

Shoot the messinger!!!
Better start looking further into the story and get info on the accusations you are making. She happens to be an Auburn alum. 20 years of reporting, NYTimes, SI, etc.
I guess you must also believe the Cams Dads church got remodeled from magic. Ncaa investigation into this deal with Cam was like whitewash. A 10 year old could do a better investigation and it remains that way until someone else unearths the whole thing and lays it out to the public and at that time Ncaa has to do something.

Go Big Orange!!!

She is an Auburn Alum and she also has a long history of clashing with the administration and the local government during her time at the Plainsman. This is a reporter with an axe to grind who published an article that cites an individual recently dismissed from Auburn's football team for an armed robbery as its primary source. The NCAA has also just completed its investigation into Auburn that included over 80 interviews and found no wrongdoing. The bias in this reporting is obvious.

I think you might want to check into this, Auburn is all of the news today about scandals and the NCAA

Would be curious as to where you came up with the 80% calculation.

Does it occur to you that her "long history" of clashing with the admin and local government was a result of her digging to deep into Auburn athletics. If she was seeking the truth, and if the truth would be damaging to the University, it only makes sense that there would be a clash of interest$$$$.
