No, there is a real possibility of this happening. And if Moffitt does in fact come to Tennessee for a meeting that is a very good sign.

In the years past, he would just say thank you, but no. If he meets it most probably means he is ready to make a move and that his wife and family are okay with the possibility of moving.

Hubbs said he hasn't heard anything has been set up, and a friend of his who knows Moffitt said he isn't leaving Baton Rouge.

TM is scheduled to be in town and meet with Dooley and Hammy on Wednesday. It all will come down to whether UT will open the check book up.

Dooley wants him and TM wants to be here. It is now all about finances and meeting and beating what LSU will offer.

If he comes, I don't see how he leaves without agreeing on a deal.

Moffitt made around $185,000 a year ago (not including bonuses) and was scheduled to make around $200,000 this year (not including bonuses).

Wylie was scheduled to make around $225,000 if he had stuck around for 2011-2012.

I had a hard time finding exact figures, but it looks like we can afford this guy.

It appears we had better open our check book for all the coaches then, Because the more I read we have the "BEST" coaching staff in the country and every job opening is linked to our coaches.

Money will not be a factor.

Money is always a factor :hi:. You're right that it's probably not THE factor though.

And you are correct as well. Money in this case will not be the deciding factor as it is in most cases.

But UT is willing to pony up as much as it would take to make it worth while.

That's good to hear. I really like this guy and think he could come in and we wouldn't miss a beat.

He's not the only option though and I can certainly appreciate his loyalty to LSU - that's hard quality to come by these day. I have faith Coach Dooley will make a good hire.

Moffitt seems like a a healthy youngish guy, anyone have a clue how many good years he may have left in the tank?

Strenth and conditioning coaches can normally coach into their 90's because of their healthy lifestyle.
