Tom Ritter

Nope, he's a Texas boy. Went to college in Texas at a non-SEC school. Rice University, I do believe.

He's from Nashville and still lives there. He did go to Rice though.

Maybe he has a thing for all UTs and the color orange.

I try not to be excessively hard on refs, it's a tough job. There were some really blatant no calls though (PI in the end zone?), the picked up flag on the TD was obviously dirty, and a no call on the cheap shot on Tuttle was shameful. One of the worst jobs I've seen calling a game.

The missed PI on the Dobbs int was also a terrible non call

And whether Ritter is better than you is completely, 100% irrelevant. "Being better than you" does NOT qualify a person to be an SEC referee. I would imagine every high school and middle school referee in this stater are "better than you" but that alone does not make them qualified to be an SEC referee.

Faint praise you have heaped on Tom Ritter, that he's "better than you."

SMDH

Are you 14? I never "praised" Mr. Ritter. I simply stated that his job is difficult and not many can officiate perfectly. In fact, it's impossible to call a perfect game. Ritter has been officiating in the SEC for nearly two decades. The fact that you brought up that middle school referees can officiate a game better is laughable.

This has been posted in another thread (by me). There was more.. Youtube must have scrubbed them.
Here is an example of a blown call by Mr. Tom Ritter.
Unbelievable.. Petrino thinks so too.

I find your lack of profanity disturbing.

Lol. If you were in my living room on Saturday you would've heard some things that would offend a sailor when he missed some of those blatant penalties.

Thankfully, even though his crew spotted Georgia a TD and didn't wear their eyeglasses we overcame it.

No matter what Ritter did or didnt do, Vern wouldn't be able to see it anyway. I lost track of all the errors Vern made during the broadcast.

A good drinking game for rewatching the UGA game:
One shot for every missed call against UT.
One shot every time Vern says something stupid.
One shot every time Danielson says something stupid.
Two shots every time Danielson corrects Vern.
(example.. Vern: Touchdown.. NO FLAGS..Danielson: Flag over there).
Two shots when Danielson should correct Vern, but doesn't know he's wrong. Example: (after the win) That's the alma mater the band is playing (Tennessee Waltz)..
