He's the gift that keeps on giving, isn't he? I caught most of the 02 game last night vs Georgia on the SEC Network and there were some terrible calls in that game. If the reviewing system worked then like it does now, we would have won that game. I think there was 3 catches on a drive that would have pulled us ahead that they called incomplete that even the announcers said were bad calls.

Tom Ritter hates us.

He's an SEC ref. All SEC refs are corrupt. Thank god he didn't give the game away, although he tried to, with dumb calls like the block in the shoulder.

Tom Ritter is to UT as Penn Wagers is to UGA. I can't stand Tom Ritter. Never could.

And on a purely superficial note, he always looks like he is wearing some really uncomfortable contact lenses with the way he holds his eyes wide open. It just annoys me. :)

I try not to be excessively hard on refs, it's a tough job. There were some really blatant no calls though (PI in the end zone?), the picked up flag on the TD was obviously dirty, and a no call on the cheap shot on Tuttle was shameful. One of the worst jobs I've seen calling a game.

Replay would have overturned Kelley Washington's TD catch that put us up 7-0. Clearly dropped.

Ritter lives in Tennessee, the Nashville area actually.

I don't get caught up in referees having it out for a team. They're all human. Some are just more inconsistent than others. Mr. Ritter could officiate better than me, that's for sure.

Every time we play and he is referee I know we are doomed. He does hate us and he calls all kinds of BS on UT

Tom Ritter lives in Nashville and is a supervisor for the TSSAA. That might be why he is the gift that keeps on giving.

I don't think he is biased by any means but his crew sure does seem to miss a lot of calls. I want an explanation as to why that flag was picked up on the punt return for a TD when the block in the back (not the side) was obvious - even Gary Danielson thought so. They also missed a blatant blow to the head of Dobbs on a pass play in the 4th. How do you miss seeing that? Ridiculous.

I sometimes wish that Steve Shaw never became the coordinator of officials. I liked him much better on the field. He was one of the best.

And whether Ritter is better than you is completely, 100% irrelevant. "Being better than you" does NOT qualify a person to be an SEC referee. I would imagine every high school and middle school referee in this stater are "better than you" but that alone does not make them qualified to be an SEC referee.

Faint praise you have heaped on Tom Ritter, that he's "better than you."
