It made for a good fake memory. Sometimes those just fit better.

Why would a person go from coaching the Cleveland Browns to Memphis?
I don't know a lot about the NFL but that really seems like your heading in the wrong direction to me.

A lot of time in the NFL, a new coaching staff will translate into the new coach bringing in their own S&C person. Happens in college quite a bit, but not to the same degree.

I believe he got relieved of his duties during the last coaching change in Cleveland. He was on the market and Larry Porter brought him in to take over the Memphis job. IMO, it is a paycheck for him until a bigger gig opens up that is right for him.

Your probably right. But what I was getting at is if he was good enough, another NFL team would have grabbed him up or atleast a bigger college.

Two things I've noticed quickly about this guy.

He's already a VOL and that means something to me.

He's also currently living in Memphis and used to live in Cleveland which means if he is married his wife would jump at living in a city where she isn't going to get shot at.

...except with BB guns.

What about that s&c coach from the jets? Isn't he unemployed and a special teams guru?

Tom was my neighbor when he lived in Jacksonville and played for the Jags. Great guy, wish he had gotten the job.
