I have heard from others on this board that he is a possible candidate for the job, so I figured let's get to know him.

Age: 42
College: University of Tennessee (Guard)
NFL: Played for eight different teams over 9 years
Coaching: 5 seasons as Cleveland Browns S&C Coach and currently with Memphis Tigers

Education: He earned a bachelor's degree in kinesiology from UT in 1992, and later earned his master's degree from Pittsburgh in exercise physiology

Family: Myslinski and his wife, Amy, have three children, Thomas, Emily and Michael.

Full bio from Mephis
Player Bio: Tom Myslinski - MEMPHIS OFFICIAL ATHLETIC SITE

Philosophy:
Myslinski developed and patented the "Tunch Punch Ladder" hand agility pad and has trained extensively under offensive line guru, Tunch Ilkin, who is the developer of the Tunch Punch system, which is used extensively by offensive line coaches throughout the NFL. He has published peer-reviewed research in the Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research on the development of strength and power using heavy chains and bands in addition to weights.

I didn't know much about him before I made this post, but after reading about him and seeing what he has produced, I think he would be a solid hire.

We need someone who wasn't to be at Tennessee, and will not run off to another job. Someone who likes the area. If this guy is good and will be here for a long time, and if he is that good. Then great.

Did Moffitt interview yesterday as was widely being reported on here or was that just another BS rumor?

He had the greatest sideline tackle in the history of college football against alabama.

We had him in Aaron Ausmus.

He had a plane ticket to come here for an interview, but flights using ATL as a connection were canceled and he didn't make it here. Decided to stay at LSU without a formal in-person interview with us.

I remember him as playing for the Cowboys, Steelers, Colts & Bills. I missed his playing days at U.T. I was in the Marine Corps, stationed in Japan for 5 years during his college days.

We had him in Aaron Ausmus.

That was the one decision I found strange last year. I get the appeal of Wylie and hindsight being 20/20 and all that, but I thought people around the program were happy with Aaron and he seemed genuinely proud to be back at Tennessee.

I remember him well as a vol. I didn't get to go to South Bend so thanks for sharing.:salute:

My father went with some Chicago businessmen who left at halftime laughing at him- he stayed in the cold and got the last laugh!

Two things I've noticed quickly about this guy.

He's already a VOL and that means something to me.

He's also currently living in Memphis and used to live in Cleveland which means if he is married his wife would jump at living in a city where she isn't going to get shot at.

I didn't hear they were building the new training facility outside of Knoxville. When did this happen?

Myslinski was the guy that told Payton to "shut up and call the play" during his first huddle!! Tough guy no doubt!

I would just hope he's well versed with all positions. Not that having well trained lineman would be a bad thing.
