Monken has a lot of traction for NFL jobs as head coach or OC.

Why the hell would he take a job at UT?

These media guys and bloggers are just reading nfl coaching rumors at this point and lobbing names out.

Monken would be an absolute home run hire IMO. But granted so would Chaney. And after watching Sam Pittman, I'd be ok if Jim brought him too! lol

at this point I can't help but believe finding someone that will accept the job is the problem...this long to find an OC just isn't normal...was hoping that someone would be announced today from either Bama's or Clemson's staff, but now it just seems like a lost cause...sure hope it works out for the best one way or the other...:D

Monken is interviewing for NFL head coaching jobs, I can't imagine he's going to take a job here. If he does, kudos to Pruitt for pulling that one off.

I don't think he is making an unreasonable assumption at all...certainly not enough to warrant attacking him. No reason why a OC hire should take forty plus days. There is a problem, either with the administration interference or a problem with the terms that Pruitt is laying out. What is amazing to me is how much of this silly garbage from an administration that some of you will gobble up before you realize there is a problem.

After butch, having a real CEO coach working under one of the great sec CEO’s is so refreshing. None of the beat writers know anything. No national media knows anything. Everything is kept in house, like it should be, and when Phil/Pruitt want everybody to know what they’re doing, they will. How simple and easy it that? Quietly building a stable football program again. All the fans crying about “he’s a control freak” “this is another’s dumpster fire” are hilarious. Hearing people on here who have 0% idea what’s going on telling people what’s going on.. that’s funny. Everybody has their own guess but nobody knows anything. At all.

Is there REALLY any actual interest from Pruitt in this guy or is this just OC search boredom on our part? The quote from Brice said #Vols showing interest.. Hell, he could be talking about VolNation and technically would NOT be wrong...

I believe these guys have a deal with Freak to bait us into thread generation and cloning... :cool:
