Todd Monken

This is just insane thinking. What do you think Pruitt does in the interview? Say I'm going to micromanage the piss out of you?

In different words, yes.

"This is the kind of offense I envision us running. I want to recruit players that fit my vision. I make every final decision on strategy and recruiting. Can you deal with that?"

There's probably also an element of "we will pay for you but not "your guys". You have to manage the coaches we currently have.

It has been said that Pruitt micromanaged Helton. that is something I'm sure possible OC candidates are asking Pruitt about.

Please, provide the evidence to back up your frivolity towards my comment. What has Tee done AS AN OC to point he is better than any of the other 5,000,000 candidates mentioned in one mindless article/tweet/post or another so far.
When Tee has been mentioned I've seen nothing that said for OC. That means QB coach, RB coach etc.

Putting yourself in quotes somehow gives your clueless post credibility I guess. Still making things up and posting them as fact. Social media has done a number on you.

Curious how one goes from interviewing for NFL HC gigs to college OC?

That would be my source of skepticism as well. There's a reasonable shot he'll get an NFL HC position in the next 3 years.

He'd be a great OC, but I'm just not sure why he'd be interested in coming back to the college game for an OC role.

The way this is going, I want the vols to be pallbearers at my funeral so my team can let me down one more time!!!

I think Monkin would do well, but I don't have faith that we will be able to hire him with all the NFL interest in hiring him.

Only some of them will be. Some wouldn't care and some would be happy. I just want CP to get who he feels like he can work with and not have to look over their shoulder so he can manage the team as a whole like he should
I don’t think Pruitt is bringing Tee on because he is or was anywhere near who he wanted to bring on, or that would have already have happened. That said, I can’t imagine him or the fans being comfortable with it.

He has said some things in the past that were not very flattering of UT especially when his son was being recruited. He has stated that he was not interested in any coaching position at UT unless it was head coach. That’s his desire and that would be toxic to our program right now. Yet he’s willing to accept coordinator positions at other schools. I believe he believes that UT owes him something and they don’t. JMO.

Source? Only time he ever said anything that got under Vol skins was when he said Jalen Hurd was "soft and terrible" on a hot mic, and he wasn't exactly wrong about the first part.

I'm not sure he passed on Yurchich (sp). He very well just decided to take a better job.
That's why you don't let the details of the search out to the public. Do you put up a sign every time you buy your Preparation H?

Look the other way - this one is a smoke screen. Monken is only entertaining NFL opportunities at the moment.

Oh I get it but I was just saying that not all fans would be upset. Honestly some probably wouldn't even know till the season started
