How much longer is it supposed to take?
All these other top programs are getting it done.
Most of these OC's are established guys and their resumes should speak for themselves.
4-8 / 5-7 and players that don't fit. I'm sure OCs are breaking down the door to get in. They also have to think of their families. It'll work out before the O&W game LOL. Just relax

He’s a new head coach that wants to stay in control. I think this is the problem. Getting an OC to come in who can’t bring his people eliminates many takers.
Do you not understand that you are making this bold declaration based on absolutely no evidence, and it's just some conjecture based scenario you have constructed in your head?

At this point I think that's exactly what he's doing. Lola, duh.
To be fair, at this point, I don’t think he has an option. Seems fairly apparent he can’t find a guy that will accept his conditions.

Oh I absolutely believe we've had some people say no and have some obstacles to get someone hired.

Mostly though we've seen Pruitt go after mostly established and proven coaches, we havent seen a whole lot of google coaches. Butch wouldve had someone hired by now; does that mean he's a better coach or simply willing to compromise?
Fair. We will find out, eventually.

I was really hoping that we could get an OC with a proven past record. Since that doesn't seem possible just waiting to see how we end up.

I don't want Tee as the OC either.

I think Monkn would be awesome (I just don't see him coming back to CFB).
My only issue with Monken is he has not been overly successful reaching Jameis Winston. Jameis has regressed quite a bit. He is currently ranked as the #16 QB in the NFL. As a caveat, I am not sure anyone could have done better, as Winston is his own worst enemy.

Monken is possibly the biggest pipe dream of all the OC candidates.

He's scheduled to interview for the Jets HC job today. We're suppose to think that a guy interviewing to be an NFL head coach would become our OC? I'd be an absolute grand slam hire, but it'd be a surprise if he returns to college to be an OC. Besides, I'm convinced (like most everyone else on this board) that nobody other than Fulmer and Pruitt know who the real candidates are.

Agreed. Unfortunately, I don't think Winston can get out of his own way to be as successful as he could be.

Phil took that take and Clawson got him canned. He ran Phil’s offense not Dave’s

Thats not entirely true....Clawson was running more of his offense in the beginning and we were struggling mightily. Phil tried taking over the reigns to try and correct the issues bc his job was on the line. Clawson wasn't Fulmer's choice anyways.....he was pressured to bring in a more "innovative" offense so he went out and brought in Clawson.

Or he's simply wanting to land the best candidate for the job and it's taking some time.
Actually, CJP is ahead of his time. The new trend in college football will be to operate without an OC and let fans pick plays to run.

Opinion on a message board
Can you explain why you think he has such an issue with control? Do you know him personally? Have you worked for or with him? If not how in the hell do you know? It's kind of crappy to just come up with some personality flaw for someone you dont know simply because they havent performed a task at your chosen timetable.

Lol no. Just reading between the lines. Like always UT is late to the prom. A lot of really good offense minds have been hired. And here we are. Zip
