Lets be honest, we'll all take a win for what it is: a win...
But today's win comes in a perfect fashion: having to scrape out against a team that, on paper, we shouldve had no problem with, and at home. This team needed to be shaken up this week. They survived their "trap" game before kentucky, but now, after barely escaping vandy, they know that their ticket isnt punched yet to atl.
Had tennessee put up a 35-10 win, i think itd be much more likely that they lose to kentucky next week. there is still work to be done, but this team is talented enough to make the sec championship game competitive. now, instead of riding on 2 weeks of blowout wins, they can ride on a good defensive effort, and a gutsy second half grind to build character as a team and go in to lexington as a hungrier team, knowing they wont walk all over the wildcats, but also confident they have what it takes to beat them. anyone agree?
