Are there worse things? Absolutely, but you make it sound like its harmless. Thats completely false.

Everything is potentially harmful. Marijuana just isn't that big a deal (except legally/politically), but nothing is completely harmless.

It does seem excessive, but the sooner this young man realizes this is false...

He did have a choice. He chose weed. He's not a victim.
Agreed, and I have argued this point with fellow UM fans...he knew its against the law, he knew it could hurt BOTH his NBA hopes and his potential to be a leader at UM if he came back..dumb dumb dumb and yes an excessive rule

Again, just because states are legalizing it doesn't make it "not that big of deal". Its about money. Ask Colorado how much their state has brought in with legalization. Marijuana alters the brain. Anything that alters the CNS carries a risk, and I wont get into the inhalational risks as that is pretty obvious.
