can't believe I'm saying this, but Joe Biddle's column is worth looking at.

Biddle,s article is right on. Thanks hat for pointing it out because the tennessan sports page has gotten so bad I have stopped reading it. I know times are tough but the sports page is pitiful

If it didnt come across that he had turned it around he wouldnt be a VOL im positive he will be a good contributor in the future.

Good article though.

Got the page part right. I understand the Titans and Preds are done and its a bit slow for local stuff but c'mon, can we find enough national stories to fill up enough to include a few insert pages not filled with strip club ads. Last week or so has been better.

For all you people thinking biddle did real good by running a story about hood all he did was tell all middle tennessee about the (quote) horrific crime of kidenapping and rape of 14 year old cousin. using words like dispicable and inhumane act just short of muder.The guy was forgiven--to grant pardon for or remission of something, cease to demand the penalty for. to grant freedom from penalty to someone,to show forgiveness.Biddle is a jerk. his motive was to put it out all over middle tennessee what hood did,while trying to show he,s a real tennessee fan. please, has he really ever been for the orange

Honestly, I don't give as much of a crap whether a guy like this plays on the football team as I do whether he's living in a campus dorm to begin with. That's the real question to me -- would I want him living in a dorm next to my little sister? And when I first read about the kid, my first reaction was that I would be appalled if we took him.

But when I read the quote from the KCHS principal -- "We're prepared to put this school's reputation on the line with our recommendation for Daniel" (paraphrase) -- and then that the victim had written a letter on his behalf to the UT administration, then that made me willing to reconsider. And IMO, once you consider everything -- the fact that he was 13, the fact that he's been a model citizen for six years, the fact that everybody who has met him in the last half-decade seems to think that he's a great kid -- then I'm fine with admitting him to the university. And beyond that, I don't really care -- if I'm cool with him living in my hometown, and living in a dorm next to my little sister or daughter, then really, whether he's on the football team or not is irrelevant.

I agree him and that goober he talks with every afternoon go out of their way to poopoo Tenn. Especially King. I think someone pissed him off, or he got denied something in Knoxville. He used to be a homer , but now he's just bitter

Of all the times that I wish that the Banner was still around in hopes that he'd have stayed there, this article is one I'd have enjoyed even then. I'm sure Climer will come out with a rebuttal tomorrow and ruin it.

Good find HAT, Looks like he's trying to do the right thing and reedem his life, I dont normaly talk about faith, but sound like he got someone in his corner, Let's all Support HIM until he shows us why not to.......................

You can't excuse the crime, but the kid was awful young. This signing is a risk anyway you look at it, i hope it works out.
