It was pretty clear that when we went up big going into halftime that CBJ and team decides this team was zero threat to win and wanted to use the second half as practice for the run game.

It was also very clear that the OC took his foot of the peddle and stopped calling quick throws (which was killing them) and began working more on our weaknesses like the run game and the deep bomb.

I personally believe he is using these early games as a warm up for HURD and that during the OK game and the early SEC games you will see a lot more of Lane. I believe he is not giving Lane as many reps because he knows Lane is already ready.

Feel free to disagree but we changed the play calling 100% in the second half and it was by choice...not because they were stopping us.

If the second half was practice for the run game, then I'm worried that it'll stall big time in the bigger games. We need to get it together for sure, and I think CBJ will get em in line enough to be competitive.

I really hope you're right. Even after a 2-0 start, this team has me nervous.

We were 2-0 last year and the year before and the year before. You'll know next week what we have.

I agree 100%. He did the same late last week. Why not work on some things in a game that is pretty much in hand? Of course we would like to see us stomp em in the ground but with a young team, this is understandable

I'm mentally prepared to lose by 50 points, but I hope we've turned the corner and those blowouts are no more.

We won't lose by 50. But we do need some sort of a running game to help keep our D off the field.

If today was practice, they should've been running the stadium steps based on that second half and special teams play. Just sayin.

I will be happy with 6 and 6 and a bowl game.

We clearly need to improve our run game and the coaches know it.

It seems like our run game has been a problem ever since 2006.

If these last 2 games have been practice....then lets hope we don't get anymore players injured during practice.
Next week....if OK gets up big by the half, I hope our " best coaching staff in the country" puts in our 2nd and 3rd string across the board. At least then...we have a chance in SEC play. We cannot afford injuries at this point.

6-6 or 7-5. Nothing has changed other than ASU happens to be better than USU.

Other things that have changed - Vandy is a sure win and may be the worst team we play all year. South Carolina is no where nearly as good as expected and I think Kentucky May be a little better than expected. 7-5 and a bowl win = successful year.
