is the UT vs SC game from last year on ESPN U. Also I read another article about Lamaison today and he said he is at UT and picking up on the new system pretty well. Maybe a 3 QB battle for starter.

He hasn't been in Knoxville more than a couple of days. No way he has pulled even with Crompton and Stephens this early. The coaches can't even supervise practices right now, so they haven't had a chance to see Lamaison in practice.

That shouldn't keep him from the spotlight. He might have only been in Knoxville for a couple of days but he brings confidence and a maturity with him. That is what we need at QB. If NS or JC have that so be it but if they don't why not give Lamaison a shot.

The only reason Lamaison is at UT instead of North Dakota State is because Coleman quit.

The season hasn't even started yet and I'm already getting pissed at watching this replay of Tenn and S. Carolina game.

:eek:lol: my wife just laughed at me for yelling "Don't take a sack, get rid of the ball!" at the tv.

Wow your quick on your feet. The only reason 90% of all recruits pick a school is the chance to play as quick as possible. C'mon the biggest names in College Football don't pick schools because they want to watch everyone else play.

I don't know why lots of people seem to think Lamaison won't play. He played very well in junior college (an AA), which is stiffer competition than high school.

Why is everyone thinking he won't be successful?

Watch the UT vs UCLA game from last season. Craft went to the same school as Lamaison.

There are only a handful of JUCO players that ever play much less make an impact.

I will just say the odds are against him ever making an impact...

remember, he was brought in for ONE reason...depth.

Then how come we're 0-fer on every guy we've gone after. We were on him for 2 months, before we were on Rettig, Grayson, hell, we were slow playing Rees, Hendrix, and Brunetti at the time. In that two month period, all of those guys picked up substantial offers, yet Lamaison got nothing. If he were a sleeper, someone would have seen it. Even if it was just a small I-A school. The only people that offered him were small I-AA schools. Does that not tell you something about a JC-AA?

And despite that he got two DI-AA offers, plus ours.
