I am the agent. From what my sources in Bucksnort are telling me, because I have been hired, he may not be able to return anymore. Expect confirmation within a few days.

I know a lot of the post aren't very clear on his current status so I will offer up my expertise on the situation. Fact: As long as he doesn't hire an agent he can return to college ball at the University of TN. Sincerely, James "Jimmy" Hyams

Hyams to announce Saturday that Harris "will declare for the draft". However, he "could return if he doesn't hire an agent". Also, expected to announce sometime next week that "Hopson will declare for the draft, but could also return if he doesn't hire an agent. Breaking news from Jimmy.

I don't think this is anything unexpected. It's not official that he's entering yet.

did the ncaa get rid of that rule about if a player doesn't sign an agent and goes undrafted, he can return to play in college again?

But what if he hires himself as his own agent? Can he buy himself a Big Mac and still return to collegiate athletics?

I have just completed sports agency classes at my local online for-profit community college's law program and if I understand things correctly, Tobias will be able to come back to UT unless he signs that 25% commission contract that I faxed to his father's sister's preacher's church office.

I didn't realize submitting paperwork for the draft and entering were the same thing. It just kind of seemed like from Frye's Twitter by saying "good luck" and he is "entering the draft" that he was in for good. Seemed more authoritative than just "submitting paperwork."

I did say at the end of the post "i'm not sure if this means he just submitted paperwork, or has hired an agent yet."

I know the rule.

Can someone explain this in simple terms... I'm confused

(please note intended sarcasm)

If he signs with an agent, he can't come back. If he doesn't, he can. Feel free to PM me and I'll walk you through it. Or, there may be a thread devoted to the topic that you can check out.
