To whom it may concern:
Hello, we're the Tennessee Volunteers, the 2007 representatives of the Eastern Division of the SEC in the SEC title game this coming Saturday. We'd like to invite everyone to view the game, in person or on TV, and see us take on the LSU Tigers.

I know this may be somewhat of a surprise to many of you, as most had actually picked Georgia (some of you may still expect to see GA take the field) to not only win the SEC title game, but to go on to play for a national title early on in 2008.

But again, i'd be remiss not to once again remind the masses that we, the Tennessee Volunteers, did actually beat the #4 Georgia Bulldogs 35-14 on October 6th. So for anyone that is still confused as to how Georgia got left out, well, they didn't. they got beat out.

We still completely understand how this can be confusing though. Georgia did beat FL and Auburn late in the Season, and those two things don't happen in the same season very often. After all the loss to Tennessee was 8 weeks ago. it should also be noted, again, that Georgia also lost to a 6-6 South Carolina Team 12 weeks ago. and in most years where FL/TN seems to be the biggest game in the East and FL wins, it's natural to assume that TN is relegated to battling for 2nd place.

it's a long season, so the oversight, and disappointment, many of you feel right now is understandable, however, we are still going to travel to Atlanta and "work like heck" to beat LSU.

We would apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused, but since we did actually beat GA,(and SC, KY, Vandy, ARK, and MSU) for the right to go to Atlanta, all i can muster is a "nanny nanny boo boo" and heart felt "GO VOLS".

PS....it's still not our fault FL couldn't beat Auburn, LSU or GA with a Heisman trophy (likely winning) candidate qb at the helm. SO i would suggest that you take a seat on the couch next to both GA and FL and tune in Saturday.

GO VOLS!!!!

love the sentiment, but let's get someone to repair what I have to assume is a typo in the title. Given that we've written for those supporting other universities, let's at least let them assume upon perusing titles that the remainder is worth reading.

only because the post was written for an audience supportive of other schools did I think the title needed to be corrected. If it were just for us, I'd have let it slide. I just wanted them to have the full effect of your brilliance, rather than being able to fall back on "oh well, what do you expect? he's a UT guy and can't spell. Probably never read anything long enough to have an addendum"

Just removing all obstacles so the ferners can fully appreciate the point.
