To those who think injuries aren't an issue...

A lot of discussion has been made about the backups playing. I am glad that our recruiting over the last few years has got us to where we are. Next Man Up! I don't even want to think about where we would have been post Dooley year if we would have lost this many starters.

And now apparently McKenzie is out with a torn pec. When will it stop!!?
S&C has to be part of it....

You don't "S&C" your way out of torn pecs and broken ankles and having to dismiss a starter because he cant follow the rules.

The coaches do not get a pass on what, in my mind, was the worst coaching performance of the Jones era... but personnel wise Saturday they had a knife at a gunfight.

They can have up to 85 on scholarship but they usually dress all the walk-ons for home games at least the ones they deem making a contribution ie producing for the scout team. Its a big deal for the walk-ons to dress and then the next step is make the travel team which I think may only be 70.

I can't image they only had 70 healthy enough to dress for a home game.

70 was the quoted number. Unreal....

Knife, hell. They were unarmed at a gunfight....

One problem(not all problems) is changing a players true position to fit our needs because we couldn't recruit that position well enough. Tyler Bird's natural position is DB, Austin Smith LB not DE, Drew Richmond RT not LT, Big Charles DT not guard. I'm sure the list goes further. If you have to learn a new position it takes time and wasted time at that. We got curb stomped by a much better team no excuses, recruiting matters as much as coaching in this league which is why our current class will look like a JV squad compared to Bama's class. CBJ needs players that are ready to play now instead of projects

50-10. 50-10. 50-10. Do I need to say it again? 50-10.

In our house. In the biggest game of the week. In a game we NEEDED. Against alafrikenbama. SMH

And you people like you don't even care. Like no big deal right? 50-10. A highscool team could score 10 points. 50-10.

You will never, ever live down Saturday. You will live with it for the rest of your days. You will be on your death bed and some bammer will lean over you as you take your last breath and gently whisper in your ear...50-10.

This started with not going for 2 at AM and taking that game when we had a chance. When it came down to the moment. That all or nothig moment for the win... that game changing moment. We went stupid. We dIdn't know what to do. Ran the other way.

1) I'm not paid mils to do this. This post provides ample justification for this.
2) My offense would of consisted of running the ball sparingly. And looking for deep balls all game. Your quarter back would have been looking at the lights and clouds all day and probably been killed. With out a run threat to the interior of the D-line there would be ZERO chance of completing even a short pass.
3) On defense we we're going to get run over w/ every injury. I mentioned throwing out Warrior bc it doesn't make sense to keep dinged up safeties out there (EB). No way he would of been much worse. Throw out some young guys that are healthy, and not redshirting and let them run and play. If you think contributing freshmen are the norm in big time college ball, you are very mistaken. Often freshemen are worth 50% of the starter.
3) It would not of been worse so why not try. Wanna bet.

We lost, if we lose by 100 it would not of been worse. Different definition probably. Evan Berry is not the starter and is very mediocre. Like I said, no way warrior and some other underclass men would of been worse. Not sure if you realize this, but we don't have many starters left. So if 2 is 50% of starter, what is 3 of 2? Riddle me that one smart guy. My quarter back also would not be staring at clouds. Dobbs is a runner, and we had time to throw the ball further than 10 yds. Look deep go short. Just throw it within 3 seconds. Tennessee offense has been this way for 3 years at least. We also completed a handful of short passes. Hugs
