To those who said Poole was soft...

He does run hard. The fact remains that Poole is just never going to be a dynamic RB. He's serviceable and does most of the things you want a RB to do, but nothing really great.

Spot on, IMO. Just want to stick up for the guy's toughness, which I feel is obvious.

I don't care if we stopped the game and told Montana what we were running. Our SEC OLine should just get the job done vs subpar teams. If Cal Poly can run it at will vs the Grizzlies, there is no reason we should not have been able to. It was a little better this week, but still not mauling people like we should be.

Okay, a couple of things...Cal Poly

1. Cal Poly is a triple option team, they ran 65 running plays and only 15 passing plays for 67 yards. Using the above logic does that mean that we are great at stopping the pass? lol....I think we know probably not.

2. 213 of those rushing yards came in the first half, and most of them in the 1st quarter. Took awhile for the Griz to make the adjustments, but they did as the big 3 at LB accounted for something like 37 unassisted tackles, with McSorley alone having 17.

3. They only got 4.1 yds per attempt, not really that good for an option team....and that was probably much lower in the 2nd half.

4. We won 37-23, with total domination in the 2nd half behind solid defense and great special teams play including a Sambrano return for TD at beginning of game.

I would not use the Montana game as a comparison to how your running game did this week vs last week. Simply put, we face a totally different kind of team this week.
