To those that sit behind me in Neyland:

And people like you are the damn reason Neyland stadium is no longer even remotely close to As loud as it is supposed to be, keep sittin on your hands guys

I don't think anyone here really, truly objects to standing. The real issue is those who stand to be obnoxious bullies and inconsiderate rectum suckers.
It's been pointed out repeatedly and certainly enough for those like you to see that:

1. Standing during exceptional plays is expected.
2. Standing when fans are also standing to exhort the
team is expected.
3. Standing as an act of defiance and annoyance is
just being a jackass.

There are kids at games, blocking their view is inconsiderate. There are people with mobility conditions at games, blocking their view is inconsiderate.

Acting boorish seems to be the thing today but mark my words. Another trend is rapidly manifesting itself. An age where people behave violently over the most trivial of things. To the point of having zero regard for human life. We see the evidence in the news almost daily. I won't be surprised when (not if) news hits where someone like you has encountered such an individual during a game. We're already seeing incidents of 11 year olds pushing elderly women down escalators and adults hospitalized and worse because a sibling or roommate used too much toilet paper. In this day and age devoid of moral compasses, those that go about asking and looking for trouble will find it. Truth be told, these days you don't even have to look for it to get it. But looking for it certainly increases your chances exponentially.

Does anyone ever see LSU fans sitting down at Tiger Stadium ? It is all bleacher seats -- better to stand than get a real sore back from bleachers --- also what is the purpose of a Jumbotron -- hello

If someone is standing the whole game and it is preventing you from seeing the game, all you have to do is text and someone will come by and tell the fan to sit or will be escorted out. The idea to sit will be up to the stander at this point, problem solved.

Defense = always stand
Offense = stand up if big play begins to happen

Makes sense. Personally used to stand all the time in my younger days. Now I stand as the situation applies, I.e. On defense and screaming or big plays.

That should really give us the edge against Georgia State.

Well, I do what I can.

Seriously, folks, chill out. I was just making a general statement about wanting to make the crowd be involved in the game. Geesh.

On the other hand, the only time most anybody sat down at all in the Ga Dome the other night (at least around us) was between quarters and the half.

I stand just about the whole game. I know that it helps the players when they look up in the stands and see us cheering them on. But I try and do it politely. I always tell the people behind me that I will be standing and haven't had a problem yet.

It is football. SEC football. People get excited about it. I know I do. Excited people stand up a lot. Sometimes it can be annoying but you have to expect it and get over it. If you don't like it, go root for the PAC 12. I'm pretty sure they don't stand up.

I think that was the aftermath of a play against UGA where we were trying to punch it in at the goal line and it turned into a 96 yard fumble return for a TD going the other way.

Actually the famous pic of them was at the 2001 SEC title game against LSU.

Are you drunk the whole game?

We manage to have a 200 post thread about this 2-4 times a football season.
