To those drunk fans...

Unfortunately, this is the reason I have been against the selling cold beer at the stadium. Not everyone falls into the stupid drunk category, but it only takes a handful of idiots out of the 90000 in attendance to make is look horrible to the outside world.

That's your opinion. Football is entertainment. Drinking is entertainment. Outings are entertainment. You have no right to tell ppl they can't drink in public. Let the trash men take out the trash. Teach your children about how people can be in the world and how to deal with them, or not deal with them. You want a stadium full of 100,000 ppl to behave a certain way, good freaking luck. Someone got mad they got beer on them. I'm not concerned with that. I'm not even concerned with the loss at this point I'm emotionally detached. It's like I already feel the only way to get change is to expose things for what they are, like when Butch Jones was in second season. I'm concerned about me wasting Saturdays. So no I'm not conerned about some fans getting rowdy or your shirt. Are we about to have another coaching search again? I mean they are lucky the benches aren't torn out and concessions smashed.
Very bad attitude. If you can't drink and act responsibly you should not be there. We don't all find it necessary to drink to have a good time.

Understood, but its either "annoying," or its worse. If its worse, why didnt he report it? If he had, and nothing was done, he would have talked about it chapter-and-verse in his OP.

if it was that bad, there would be TONS of smartphone vids. So far, none. Its 2019, people.

Done here. I think its bull.
I truly wonder if this would be your response if you, your significant other ( if you have one) or your child took a beer bath from a drink idiot? Especially in mid November. You would probably be arrested for assault. If you can't act responsibly during or after drinking, then don't drink.

I used to work UT football as an usher. The working ushers have little power because any action has to go through a supervisor. With very few exceptions, the supervisors don't want any confrontations and not upset anyone. I watched an Alabama fan curse our cheerleaders for three quarters and we ushers couldn't react until the third quarter after the supervisor got so many complaints. I happen to work for the laziest supervisor and several section supervisors only wanted to get together to watch the games. I am also an alumni and was embarrassed to see what goes on or lack of what goes on. Being an usher was not easy, now add alcohol.

I have a strong suspicion you were one of the "fans" involved. If you are that drunk, you wasted all the money you spent on the game anyway. Those are the actions of a true lost mentality. You, or anyone else that acts like this in Neyland deserve to lose all rights to return and a lovely time in the drunk tank for Knoxville.

Alcohol has no conscious and usually wants more alcohol. Too much alcohol has negative results on most everyone, so with UT playing so poorly I'm not surprised there are problems. I didn't think beer sales was good for college games myself. Hopefully wins will come sooner we'll have happier drinkers.

Alcohol sales in Neyland is a bad idea. I hope they will rethink it.
I see your point, but I am old enough to remember liquor bottles being thrown from the upper deck in the eighties. Lots of liquor bottles.

go fly a kite, i can't keep up with all of your peon responses. someone said
i hope they pour beer on you. i am your king
not to mention, this is the internet under alias. i am not going to go look into profiles and care about gender.

To those fans who didn’t watch the game until we went into OT (because they were so busy getting drunk) and then decided to come to our section, yell and argue with Vol fans, scream and yell at the BYU fans, then scream and yell more when we asked you to return to your section. Your behavior was deplorable. But throwing what was left in your beer cups at the player’s families was inexcusable. Last week we brought our 5-year old grandson with us. And while we watched some lack luster play on the field, at least we felt safe with him with us. This week we didn’t bring him and i’m so glad. I would have hated for him to see how people behave when they are intoxicated. To say nothing about how we and those around us felt exposed to your drunken behavior. You made a bad game even worse! Where is security when you need them.

When I was at the Georgia St game, when they were announcing the beer sales details (starting at the BYU game)...... I thought I heard them announce a number over the PA system that you can call to report folks or problems like this. I'm pretty sure this is not the intent of the beer sales but you will always have those that want to ruin everyone's time at events like this by showing their a$$.

How do you get drunk on $12 beer with a 20 minute line? You are either going to run out of money or time.
Lol, I know right?!

They did get drunk, but what I witnessed were happy drunks, singing together, both fan bases. I'm sure there were drunk jerks peppered throughout the stadium though.
