Look at what's going on around the country. Small teams hang with the big boys every week. It's part of football.

You go in over confident and the next thing you know your in a dog fight. It's hard to turn it around mid game. It happens to everyone!!

UGA replaced us at #9 in the rankings and Nicholls just took the lead in Athens midway through the 3rd quarter.

Must be a #9 thing.

Have you never played sports. You've got a team you know your going to beat and then everything goes to **** and your struggling to get a win. It's spots it happens.

If you could figure out how to make it not happen you could be the #1 sports psychologist in the world and make bucks.

Because GA is in the same boat we are? Oh wait, they have a new first year head coach, and a freshman quarterback, and half their oline are freshmen.

We have a 4th year coach with a senior QB, and and entire offense and defense stacked with experience and talent. So no, not even in the same realm.

Stop lowing the bar, and making excuses for this staff. It's time for CBJ and Company to come out and show that he can coach or not.

You left out the part that they're playing an FCS school. Stop making excuses for Georgia

I didn't weight App State as an opponent because they were 11-2 last year, why would I consider Nichols State's record?

We played uninspired, and unprepared, against a team that regardless of their previous record, we out-talent and out-experience enough that they should not have been leading us 13-6 going into the 4th quarter.

Georgia is not playing well, but they have a new head coach, with a freshman quarterback, and a freshman oline. Them playing poorly is not the same as us playing poorly, regardless of the opponent.

We spent 3 seasons hearing "we're a young team" every single time we came out and played like garbage. That excuse doesn't work this year, and people are looking for any other reason than poor coaching to explain our poor performance. Again, no more excuses, CBJ does not get a pass in year 4 for the team not being prepared to play up to the ability that the experience and talent they possess demands of them.

I wouldn't say we sucked just cause App State kept up with us. They are a good team. It is because of play calling, Dobbs still can't throw downfield and eyes his target from off the line, and Hurd is running lazy. Good point is wee came from behind and found a way to win on a designed fumble play. Tonight I am looking for the Vols that beat the tar out of NorthWestern! Go Vols!!!

They are picked to finish 2nd behind us in the East and several have even picked them to win the East they are close to in the same realm. Also Appy St. received top 25 votes before the game last week. Nichols would be lucky to have received votes to finish in the top 3 of their FCS conference. This is on the same level as if Tenn Tech were to keep up with us

You are correct. However, GA is not in the same situation as us. They are not in year 4 under Smart, they do not have a senior QB, they do not have 17 returning starters on both sides of the ball.

Regardless of the opponent, it's not the same situation. GA should be handling Nichols State handily, just like we should have handled App State handily. Neither teams are playing up to snuff, but again, GA's situation is not our situation.

So I just want to point out that Georgia BARELY beat Nichols by 2 points today...If they don't drop 8 points like UT did after AppSt that's some straight BS!!
