Let me take this opportunity to apologize to you for enduring 4/5 years of abysmal coaching and ending your career in this fashion. You guys deserved better!

Thank you for proudly wearing the orange and giving it your all. Let's hope and pray you will be a VFL and will return in the very near term to watch your beloved Vols return to glory.

You are about to get hate mail… I thanked the players as a whole and the douchery commenced!

While there is no question that there was an epic lack of coaching, I gotta say, some of the blame has to lay at the players feet. In simple terms, this is the worst team in the HISTORY of UT FOOTBALL per their win record. These players came highly rated and they cant all be talent busts. No, what you have here is a lack of drive. Winners find a way to win - in this case, losers find a way to lose. They may not like the implications of that but fact is that the players we had this year were unmotivated cream puffs that got chewed up on the field by lesser men. That means they didnt do the work in the offseason. They simply did not want it enough. Granted, it seems if reports were true, they were coddled and butt kissed by coaches instead of getting them ready to play against hungry aggressive teams. But in the end, when you want something bad enough, you tend to make it happen. This team did not want it much at all. Very sad but fact is that most of the seniors should be ashamed of what happened this year. It was indeed the failure of coaching - but it was their failure as well.

Would have been nice of the head coach they signed up to play for to have stuck it out since he was given the option.

As it is, hope they learned how not to deal with adversity from Jones.

Obviously we appreciate the Seniors for signing to play here but not sure any of them will be missed. Horrible performance all the way around, can't block, can't tackle, really they did nothing fundamentally right. Hopefully our young freshman leaders, Trey Smith, Guarantano as well as Bituli, Callaway, etc.. Will learn from this poor example of senior leadership and turn this dumpster fire around with better coaching.

For 4 years I watched this group of clowns that could not even line up right on defense. It happened again last night on one of Vandy's touchdowns. We were pointing around like blind mice while Vandy ran a play for TD. Just where does coaching begin and end and players take responsibility. Our coaching is bad enough then add inept players and it is a disaster. Damn glad this season is over, it was sickening and non competitive.

Jones recruited them and then ruined them. Don’t blame the players!

Don’t bash the kids. They came here and proudly wore the Gray and sometimes tolerated putting on orange jersys.

P^ss off.

Most of those guys played hard and didn't lose games from lack of trying. It was poor leadership and a lack of fundamental training that got this team in trouble.

Well, drive over to campus and give em a participation trophy. As it stands they accomplished a new level of suck in UT history.

Why not? just because they were coached badly does not mean they should not have actually put some effort into preparing and playing. No, there is plenty of blame for the players. Seriously, they brought shame upon themselves and UT with their lack of effort and loser attitude. There were a few exceptions but most were simply pathetically bad. If they had lacked talent but went down fighting against better teams, then that would be one thing. But they were 4 star players with 1/2 star hearts.

Nah. I'll handle my business the way I see fit.

Not into participation trophies or putting lipstick on pigs but attacking guys because they weren't coached worth a damn and put into bad situations schematically isn't my thing either.

And if some players did quit on the season, I wonder who they learned it from?
