this reminds me of my ex girlfriend in highschool. i told her she wasnt as appealing to others as she thought and now she is a playboy model.

Leach, Kiffin and Brian Kelly to choice from

he went after all 3 of the ones from post

im glad leach said no.but with all this happening in last couple of days i think lane was his choice all the time. its paying off now.

Butch Davis used us to get a raise and he has no pressure to win championships at UNC. If he wins 8 games a year, they are happy. Leach's offense will not work in the SEC, remember Hal Mumme? Gruden did not want to leave Tampa or the NFL. Brian Kelly's team lost to a very mediocre VT team. I think we got the best coach available. He is assembling a staff that he promised and he knows he has to make it work here. This is his last chance to be a Head Coach. If he fails, he will never be given an opportunity in the pros or at a major college prgram again. I like the experience of this staff and the recruiting prowess they obtain. Most of these coaches have been top 25 recruiters in the past.

I don't think it's UT as much as all the largesse we're dishing out to these coaches. Do you think it was worth it to Nick Saban to deal with the Bama rednecks until they handed him a blank contract and he wrote in $4 million?

O could have gone to LSU...Monte could have stayed in Florida...Chaney could have stayed in the NFL...maybe Garner maybe Gonzo...both are at elite "attractive" programs and they may choose UT...so that tells me the Tennessee program is at least an attractive school to be at.

So would you rather have Gruden or Cowher for 4-5mil a year and a average staff or kiffin for 2.5mil and easily the top 5 recruiting and coaching staff in the nation?
