That today's firing of Currie and the hiring of Fulmer is nothing more than a power struggle between owner Haslam of the Browns and The Board of trustee's at UT and Haslam lost power and influence today. I wouldn't let him have control over my dog's turd. The guy is a total loser. Educate me, fellas.

Ol Haslam has been calling politicians according to Clay Travis, maybe someone that is twitter savvy can post it. Saying they don't make the hires at Tennessee, we do. Not an exact quote but point is the boat got rocked hard.

They will negotiate a buyout and allow him to resign; otherwise, they will fire him for cause and he gets nothing.

He’s fired? Just like Gruden is coming? No one knows anything until it happens. This has been the craziest last two weeks ever..

There is no position for him to come back to. The AD position is filled and the person in it has a contract.

Currie is the dead man walking mgr/director whom we put on special assignment. We thank John for his contributions and wish him luck in his future endeavors.

No I didn’t mean any of that. That is the typical letter/email that comes out when a higher up is canned and they are procedurally processing him out.

This is key... how can we be excited about change with Haslam still in charge. Something more has to give... the next few days will be telling.

Sorta. It was a power struggle but the BoT has been Haslams biatch. This was major boosters and, because of massive pressure, Dipietro and Davenport telling Haslam we run the show. Now the war isn't over, just look how far Haslam took it this time. He forced TN and other boosters hand like you have seen because he refused to relent. We will find out soon if he has any control left because Davenport, Dipietro, and the BoT has to sign-off on everything Fulmer does

If I was Fulmer and he can't buy Gruden then I would hire Kiffin and Tee and show the world that we are forgiving people and are ready to do what it takes to win.

I'm sick of hearing about Gruden. It was dumb before and it is now. Fulmer wouldn't hire kiffin. They couldn't be more opposite.
