To Protect and to Serve...

I've seen that described many different ways and obviously have serious doubts regarding whether it would work or not. But calling it the silliest **** you've heard all week while, at the same time, supporting the garbage we we currently have is just precious.

I enjoy fantasy in my books and movies, but to attempt to some how apply fantastical ideas to real life is silly. Most of the things argued in this and other threads is like reading the ramblings of immature individuals who rarely (if ever) go into the real world other than to score a sack from another guy who plays on their Playstation all day.

To even imagine people with bad intentions would have the forethought to hire a whatever he called it agency to protect him is some silly ****. If you do not recognize it as silly then I guess you have some reality issues also.

Btw, I've said, several times, that weed should be legal.

As for the video, the girl had done nothing wrong (cop actually states that several times) and just wanted to be left alone. Crazy, huh? I don't know don't what happened prior to the recording but I can't fathom why someone who's done nothing wrong shouldn't have been free to walk away.

Its funny how you can't mount an actual argument against it. Instead you just insult the people who believe it. Like I said, I'm no where near convinced systems like that would work but your belief that what we currently have is any better is hysterical.

Some people simply cannot see past the cage. They have to have a ruler or a leader telling them what is legal, and what is not.
I was like that a long time ago, until I realized the only person who should be able to make decisions that affect my life is me.

Think about what the so called authority does to people. They arrest people for possessing illegal vegetation, they extort or arrest people who don't have certain sticker on their vehicles, they arrest someone who will not allow them to rob them. (taxes) the list is endless....
The belief in authority is one of the most dangerous beliefs a person can have. That's exactly what leads to despots and dictatorships.
When will it stop.....

Something to think about.

She was part of the investigation bc she was with the guy being arrested....After the officer cleared the scene then she would have been free to leave.

Have you ever been a manager at one of your jobs? Serious question

I work in the steel industry and have done so for 20+ years. I know what you're getting at but we aren't talking about a voluntary agreement between employee and employer. We're talking about the so called authority who claims the right to rule you.

I don't have a huge problem with the idea "somebody" has to be trained and equipped and have the authority to enforce some kind of order. What I think needs to happen is that the scope of what's being enforced be savagely curtailed.

Executioner... Off with his head!

I don't have a problem with it either as long as it's voluntary and I can opt out if I choose. I understand there are violent criminals out in the world, that's why I carry a gun every day.

The root of the problem is forced taxation. We feed the very beast that is oppressing us.

Not the direction I was headed....I use to work at a place that I am now the manager of....I always just went and did my job and went home....I never knew in my life that there were so many issues before I became the manager. I have around four people come in my office daily....free will without some form of govt will not work and will be a bigger mess than we have now.

No taxes and nothing would get done....ever start your own softball team and try to collect money from everyone?

So let me get this straight, without government we couldn't get anything done? Also, you agree with people being robbed by force to pay for things you want. Got it.

I suggest you spend some time looking at go fund me and kickstarter websites. People are generous when they're not forced to do something.

So it's better to try a gofundme site and have a few cover the expenses than everyone contributing the same.....I have never ever given to a gofundme or kickstarter type website but I will still be using the same things that you paid for.....the selfish side of me can dig that system.

The rules in your idea would be created by those with money. Hence making them the so called rulers. The only way to opt out of those rules would be to leave the areas of said rulers. So really opting out wouldn't be an option....

Free market is fantastic for trade, business, etc. But free market to set rules/laws without any type of approval process like the ones we have now is similar to asking a coyote not to eat a chicken that's sitting beside it. It's unrealistic.

By no way is our current system perfect. But this.... This system your suggesting is opening the door for chaos. And it pains me you can't see it.

He has won me over......I'm going to try and create a gofundme account and see if I can't get enough idiots to send me enough money to live comfortably...

He's right to a point. There are good people out there. Not enough to keep this country going. And like I was pointing out.... The ones that don't donate now are sure as hell not going to willfully give anything toward road repair, city maintenance etc.

But if that works out for you let me know. I'll do the same.:)

It always cracks me up when someone voices their concerns about how an anarchist/voluntarist society would turn out and they basically just describe what we have now.

The people with money already are our rulers and only way to opt out of their rules is to leave. Which btw isn't as easy as people make it sound and they still claim rule over you until you declare yourself the property of another state.

Coyotes already do eat chickens. Only in our system, they wait until the politician they've paid for legislates that it's okay and that the chicken can't resist.

There are definitely some things I want to change right now but I don't see how it's that bad....the only interaction I have had with police in the last few yrs is a speeding ticket....I was speeding, gave him my info and was on my way.i don't feel oppressed in any way shape or form.

Yea... That was kind of my point. Except I don't see things getting done in an anarchist society. Human nature takes over.

So human nature doesn't take over with a government? Remind me, isn't it humans who run the leviathan called government.

Human nature also takes over in your An-Cap society. The strong can easily control the weak when they take a notion to do so.

And this point is the one you ignore or won't speak to

Knowing that movement, it could be for any number of things. They don't want to use license plates, driver's licenses, carry insurance, follow traffic laws or submit to the State in any way possible. Basically everything a couple of posters on here don't agree with.

Being that it's an older video, there's not a lot of information on what the initial stop was for so there is no answer for you. I might expect something to come out about it since the video is viral at this point.
Ahh... OK, I see where you are trying to go with posting this. Smear tactic... accuse those of us that disagree with how zealously the police enforce laws as being anarchists. You may have a few anarchists here, but most people think that police have bigger fish to fry than just going around hiding behind trees and billboards trying to catch speeders or roaming the streets looking for busted taillights or missing plates. I don't sit up at night worried about rolling stop violators, missing plates, loose cigarette sellers, weed smokers, or loud mouth, sassy, back-talking black women. I think most people agree that none of those people deserve to be killed on the streets.
