I am going to have to disagree with you as usual. Nothing against GV and 72, but I don't really see that this is debatable. I mean McDad has a rating scale. What do those other 2 bums have?

Clears up a lot while raising new questions.

It shows that I was incorrect concerning the other officers. They were clearly involved.

It also shows that the other two guys were complying while Dillon walked off.

We can only assume that the officers gave some commands to Dillon that he failed to comply to. We don't know exactly what was being said because they declined to release that portion of audio.

What this clip also brings into question is whether Dillon ever actually put his hands down his waistband. Looking at this clip, it looks more like he grabbed his waistband to pull his pants up.

The DA brings up the point about the bend in his elbows, which is consistent with hands moving upward. They never unbend which would be consistent with hands going down into his waistband.

If this is the case, his hands would've been visible at all times to at least one officer. The one who didn't have his body cam on.

Here is what we know for fact. The officer never saw a gun. He never saw anything that looked like a gun. He shot and killed a man.

Given the fact that everything that's been released so far shows the officer in the best light possible, I have to wonder about what is not included. What is being said that they purposely removed? What is Dillon saying? What are the two officers saying? Would it affect opinions? If not, why leave it out?

Based on what I've seen of this so far, I don't believe the officer should go to prison. I do believe he should loose his job.

Failing to immediately follow a lawful order cost Dillon his life.

Shooting an unarmed man should, at a minimum, cost the officer his job. A small price in comparison.

The officer who failed to turn on his cam should be suspended without pay.

And if I'm ever charged with a crime, please give me a DA like thi one. I'd have no need for a defense attorney.

So they basically go into a home to enforce some law about needing to have electric and gas utilities in the home...

Lets forget about the dog getting shot for a moment... that is a sidebar. This city ordinance right here speaks to the question/statement I have been asking before: Do we have too many criminals in this country or too many laws?

And with all of these laws, do we too zealously enforce these laws?

Let's not forget, city housing ordinance enforced by swat team no less. I think the answer to your question is obvious. We have far too many laws on the books that do absolutely nothing, except generate revenue for the leviathan state.

As for the overzealous enforcement of these "laws" well, your money, or your life. Choose.

And yet, people (and dogs) are dying over enforcing these laws. Yet, your usual suspects here will say blame the politicians, we're just enforcing the law/"duty bound" and all of that, when the police could be the needed check/balance between the state and the people. If they only enforced laws that involved crimes (damage to life, limb or property), then we would have far, far fewer incidents where people are gunned down by cops for rolling their eyes, shooting a bird, busted tag lights, electric but no gas utilities, selling loose cigarettes, rolling stops, 2 or 3 joints in the glove box, open container, 6 year olds with lemonade stands, nuns feeding the homeless, jaywalking, or any of this other nonsense.

It sounds like it's a family of drug dealers (the dog was a pit bull, which is pretty common for them). This is what the reporter did not include in the story:

The family had terrorized the neighborhood for years, had many, many cars visiting throughout the day and all night. The individuals in these cars would drive them at a high rate of speed putting children, and yes, even other dogs at risk. The Police were called almost daily to this house. No one should feel sorry for this family.

I have a suspicion there's probably more to the story leading up to this than just an innocent pool party where there were too many black folk hanging around.

But that cop was completely out of line. And shouldn't be a cop at all. Ever.

lulz at the "barrel roll" comment too. It looks like he tripped while running in. Don't expect less from that website though.

There is more to the story. The spawns of these single mothers crashed a suburban pool party and things got out of hand.

How many tears do cops shed when an innocent human being is shot by fellow cops? Do you attend those funerals or help cover the costs of the innocent man's funeral?
