I don't care what you might have done "if" you would have run the store. I want you to give me the most likely outcome of an employee doing exactly what we saw these cops doing... and I had to pull it out of you, but you said fired... maybe. The "maybe" part is where you have other forms of discipline, but rest assured, there would have been some kind of disclipnary action. All people that work in the service industry know this. To bad the ones that "protect and serve" don't have that sort of fear hanging over them. And besides, you all are supposed to be the bigger man... I thought there was supposed to be some kind of honor in wearing and representing The Shield? What is that saying about arguing with a fool? Those cops just allowed themselves to look foolish themselves and disrespect their office by taking the bait like that.
Cashiers probably makes close to minimum wage, interact and deal with the public routinely, and have a low skill job that just about anyone with a pulse could do. Cops have the protection of a union and the backing of local, state and Federal institutions, interact and deal with the public routinely, and have a low skill job that just about anyone with a pulse could do.
