I would consider oppression to be number 4 on the noun list which none of this reaches that level....if we consider something just a little bit burdensome than my job is oppressing me right now lol

There's no power or authority forcing you to perform that job.

So accepting. It's sad honestly.

I think u r out of your mind....I don't agree with them having the rights to cell phones and things of that nature...I understand why it came to that but don't agree with it.....to reach the level of oppression, it has to be used against u in some manner.

It's an unjust restraint on our personal privacy. Which meets the definition of oppression.

And the fact that you care so little, is what's truly wrong with our country.
Men should have lost their lives for this.

Men, women , and children did lose their lives for this....9/11 is what started this process. I don't sweat the small things.....if it f's up a terrorist's plan then Im all for it until they start messing with average American citizen's lives.

If no one has authority, then what do u think would happen? Obviously, u must not have a boss bc mine most certainly forces me to do my job.

No one forces you to do your job. You could stay home tomorrow if you wanted.

And when did I say no one should have authority? I simply believe our authorities should respect the constitution (no unwarranted spying on American citizens), and that my personal freedoms should extend as far as possible without harming another person.

Crimes should only be related to personal harm to others (rape, murder, theft, etc.). Having an open container or using narcotics does not harm anyone.

They have done that already....

We can not allow ourselves to say I'm not hiding anything so I have no problem with our gov not following the constitution.

Those men and women didn't die so people could spy on us. The men who authorized people to spy on us should pay with their lives, because they have comitted treason.

I don't feel they should be able to spy on people but I agree with the laws aimed at protecting Americans from others bad choices.

More Surveillance Abuse Exposed! Special DEA Unit Is Spying On Americans And Covering It Up

"By instructing agents to use “normal investigative techniques to recreate the information provided by SOD”, law enforcement is being instructed to flat out lie when disclosing how they came across the tips or other information provided by SOD leading to an arrest. These agents are directed to give substance to the lie by fabricating a false source or method utilized to gain information leading to an arrest."

The day the whole Snowden thing came out, and everyone called him the traitor....

That's when I officially lost all hope for this country.

I wonder if their mind would change after watching citizenfour. I'm guessing that it would.
