I would like to know this...I would also wager the ones that do, have people who depend on them.

Pretty good bet since almost everybody has people that depend on them. You pretty much have to be a perpetually unemployed leach for that not to be true. I don't think there are too many of those here.

There are folks who rely on me...

-to code their software
-to get them "turn down for what" wasted
-my mom depends on me to call her once a week to know I'm still alive
-my friends to provide comic relief in the face of tragedy

Dude, I'm so stressed right now. I have to work 3 days a week.

I work 40 a week but I get paid to people watch and fight with people who have such horrible drug addictions the have to steal a pressure washer for their next fix... Pretty fun life so far.

I wouldnt think Walmart pay is fun a few days after the paycheck

Nah. I make an alright wage. Not spectacular but I'm not hurting. Hardly anyone in Walmart starts at minimum wage and I started quite a bit above it and have full benefits.

The point of the video was to emphasis that we needed to end the drug war.

And the problem I keep bringing up that nobody has a good answer to is:

Where is the middle ground?

You have one group that says "legalize everything! Solution to all our problems!" And the other group says "hell no! It solves nothing!"

There has to be some compromise somewhere in there, from both sides.

Where is the middle ground in wanting to control peoples lives?

People should be free to make their own decisions good/bad and live with the outcome.

You think the paradigm in the United States is ready for that sudden of a shift?

Let's be realistic here. You can't just drop everything and think it's going to be all good. Incremental changes are best. Which is why there needs to be a middle ground.

Yep, by threat of a gun or a cage. Nice choices

You know I'm all for pot be legal. But all drugs, shouldn't be legal.

A couple over here was tweaked out of their minds on meth. They thought they were being chased by ninjas. She killed the husband, and in her paranoia she hid her 10 month old son in the woods in a national forest. She was arrested and the baby was tore apart by coyotes. The baby was eaten alive.

IMO she should get the same fate she left her child to.

How would you start? Legalize pot?

Seems to have worked well in Colorado.

Not to seem cold to your story but, people die every day.

What happened to the child was probably going to end up happening in one way or another, because of the dangerous decisions of the parents.

At the end of the day the state cannot save you.

You do realize meth is a product of the drug war right? Just like bath tub gin during prohibition.

Once is one too many. No one should lose their property/cash without being convicted of a crime.

They are usually charged with money laundering. And I agree once is too many, but one trucker hitting another motorist is also once too many....

The state and the Republic has saved untold numbers of people. WTF are you talking about? Meth is product of the drug war? Gimme a friggin break. Please give me your reasoning for this, I'm anxious to hear this bit of wisdom.

So if pot was legal, they wouldn't smoke meth?

My point is, that it's not only the user who is affected by this. It's not just their body. An innocent child was eaten alive.
